Schools hurling
Happened to be in dr cullen today to see the leinster junior colleges b final with st marys enniscorthy and banagher college. V good game decided by decisive goals for st marys. They won 3 10 to 1 7 in the end but banagher had plenty of the ball and fought to the final whistle. Good mix of clubs as ...

Re: Kilcormac/Killoughey V. Oulart The Ballagh
Only flicked through the kk game after i got home yesterday. Not hijacking this thread, but it ll take a big oulart effort to beat mlr. I d say half the county had them backed at 100/1 before our c final to win leinster, 80/1 afterwards and 33/1 after last match. Easy money! Hon the rangers!!

Hon Carlow!
Great win for the 21s. Thought they would give it a good rattle but maybe not win. We lost by only 2 pts with the same minor teams 3 years ago. I think our lads playing senior was a huge advantage. Plus they are virtually all one code men too so they are well focused. Bring on wexford!

Ah i know that, but we tend to focus on the managers more often with losing teams. Look at our forum page on hoganstand!

Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013
its gas how when we refer to the great Kk team or a winning team, we constantly talk about the players there and the panel.... and the rest of us runners up talk about managers and county boards!

Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013
"Offaly Hurling must have a very challenging future following a dismal performance by the county minor team managed by a full-time coach. This years minor team have under gone "coaching" with Offaly Development squads since they were 12 years old. Many many questions on our underage c...

Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013
The minors wouldnt have set the schools scene alight over the last 2 years. Infairness to laois, their schools have been quiet successful this year - rathdowney winning the voc all ireland and heywood winning the leinster b title, so the omens were good for them this year. But we all know only a han...

Re: Offaly minor Hurlers 2013
Toxcity, i think it was laois not carlow thst hurled galway. In fact i know carlow didnt hurl galway! It wouldnt be regarded as one of our better minor teams. They lads are working hard but some yrs the talent isnt what it used to be. As for james doyle, jayus he aint that big!! He was one of only 4...

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
Firstly hard luck to kk. Fought v hard all the way through. I suppose it comes down to not being sble to get the spread of the scores too as well as the cards. Its great credit to them how the reacted at the final whistle. No surrounding the ref etc and took defeat with class and dignity. A few socc...

Re: All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013
Well done to kk. A deserved win. Typical offaly hurling, as in they hurled with huge passion and a great attitude. I ve written them off each match i have to say but they seem to be getting better with every game. I thought the dry day and open pitch wouldnt suit them but it didnt faze them. Slevin ...

Re: Revolution not reform needed in underage hurling
Its great to read the posts and see the different opinions on development in each county. I ll give you the carlow one now! Firstly we wouldnt have the need for a trial for the u13 to 16 squads as numbers arent there. We find it hard to fill a 24/28 man squad as you are kept to the age with the squa...
