Re: Offaly senior football in general

Hope no-one minds if i put in my two sense here as i have'nt posted in a long while so i'll keep this short and sweet. Townman with all due respect this whole defeatist " no talent " excuse drives me up the wall. i live in south Roscommon near Athlone and if you seen some of the work that ...

Re: Offaly vs Mayo All-Ireland MFC Quarter-Final 31/7/2010

Actually yeah in fairness i should'nt have generalized like that so my bad but my point still stands about his behaviour at the match. Now i don't want to seem like a zealot here because i know that lads at that age are just learning the game and maybe they know some of the players on the mayo side ...

Re: Offaly vs Mayo All-Ireland MFC Quarter-Final 31/7/2010

I just wonder if Ken Kellaghan is the right person to be coaching these lads. I thought to start off with that it might be good because he has good experience winning championships with Rhode which he could pass onto the players but i'm starting to have my doubts after seeing how he behaved at the m...

Re: Reflection on 2010 - Football and Hurling

Hi lads, just wanna say a few quick things on the two teams this year. For those of you who are looking for an instant turn around and for the team to start competeing against the likes of Kerry and Kilkenny, it just aint gonna happen, (yet) teams take years to develop even in the bigger counties, (...

Re: Tom Cribbin

Hmmm... i have to admit this is interesting. To me this throws up more questions about Tom than answers. For example why does he get ultra defensive when questined about his tactics? Does he feel insecure about county board politics? Can he handle the other side of management that is the county boar...

Re: Tom Cribbin

hi lads, just wanted to say BNM that i think your spot on, yes Cribben has been tactically suspect at times but hes still new to the management game (as far as i know)and is still learning. On the positive side he has got the team playing with pride and commitment again, results are improving and th...

Re: Offaly vs. Clare Football Qualifier Round 1 26/06/2010

Magpie i understand what your saying and your right it is a young squad and maybe cribben had stumbled onto a winning formula by accident by maybe i shouldn't be expecting too much but i just think that the building should start with first of all getting the mentality of the team right. I should poi...

Re: Offaly vs. Clare Football Qualifier Round 1 26/06/2010

I seem to be talking to myself on this forum as no-one bothers to reply to my posts (must have to be in the gang and all that) but i'll say my two cents anyway. I have to disagree about Cribben, i think for the first time in 13 years the board have got something right. What people need to realize is...

Development squad management

I don't live in Offaly so i would not get to hear too much about the underage squads and what's going on with regard to management and structures and things like that. Could someone possibly tell me who's in charge of the Hurling and Football side of things? I read somewhere that Johnny Flaherty was...

Re: A taste of the big time again

i was at my neices chritening and the brother in law had relations and friends down from Offaly. After we'd finished watching the world cup someone brought in a laptop so we could watch the game on the webcast. There were Galway and Offaly fans in the room and the banter was brillient. When Shane Do...

I don't think its unsaveable, i just think we need the right people at the top with the motivation to roll thier sleeves up and make the right changes.

Sack the bleedin Board

All right lads, I’m new to the site and I decided to register as I have a lot of angry views to vent just now, apologies if someone has already said the things I’m about to say but I need to get this out of my system before I explode :x First off the board has to go. Having read the piece in the Off...
