Re: Offaly Vs Wexford 2/6/12 Leinster Championship
Offaly were fortunate to win last night. I hope they will have learned a number of lessons from the game. Michael Verney must replace Del Morkan, both midfielders must be replaced, Cathal Parlon is not good enough and Joe Bergin must replace him on the edge of the square. I am most surprised that a ...

Re: U21 Championship
Offaly County Board think a lot more of their County Under 21 Football Team than their County Under 21 Hurling Team. The Under 21 Hurling & Under 21 Football Championships were instantly postponed to allow our Under 21 Football Management prepare their team properly for the Leinster Under 21 Foo...

Re: Hurling Championship
St Rynaghs must have a great chance this year. I cannot see Coolderry or Birr being able to compete with their midfield sector. They also have 3 defenders on the county senior panel.

Re: Offaly minor hurlers
I don't think any players from Ferban/Belmont made the county minor team. That if true is most surprising as they have a serious chance of winning the Offaly Minor A Hurling title this year. One would expect our minor manager, who has been coaching this age group since they were 12 to know the best ...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
I am delighted that I was out of the country and unable to avail of Loneshark's betting offer. I heard that St Rynaghs were the stronger team. I heard that their best players were Joseph O Connor, Simon og Lyons, Niall Wynne and Conor Clancy. St Rynaghs must have a lot of young players because I don...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
Birr must now be hot favourities to win on Sunday as they have the advantage of a Home Venue and following their defeat of Seir Kieran who had a number of County Senior Panellists on board. While all county finals should be played at neutral venues it is great to have a County-Final back in Offaly'...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
Sharp Eye it seems evident that there is some kind of dislike towards Lusmagh, but before you start writing up here you should get your facts straight. I was in Lusmagh on Sunday to see the u21and i must compliment them on the grounds and the number of stewards. While there on Sunday i met a good f...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
It is a great credit to Lusmagh that they have the facilities to host major games. However, I think if they had their minor players and Under 21 players involved in the club championships, it would be better for the club. Clubs who are not actively involved at minor and under 21 level find it diffic...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
I know you don't have a clue but anyway. There's plenty of hurling played on our pitch. Our U14s played Drumcullen there on Friday evening. The Camogie team had a match there yesterday (Saturday) evening. There was the U21 today while tomorrow our U16s play Clareen. Maybe if other clubs installed d...

Re: Aidan Bracken Building Design Under 21 Hurling Champions
Birr v Clareen is now in Lusmagh tomorrow at 2pm. Entirely logical to bring this to the driest hurling pitch around. A day like today will do it a power of good too. I am sure that it must have been a great help to the pitch not having to have under 21's train on it. I still think it is better to u...

Have Wexford GAA an Issue with the Revenue
Hoganstand are reporting the following: Wexford face tax bill 26 April 2012 Following a voluntary disclosure with the Revenue Commissioners, Wexford GAA is set to receive a tax bill. The figure that the County Board may have to pay the Revenue is not known, but the Wexford People report that the sum...

Re: tom coffey new offaly manager
Coffey has confirmed he will be staying on with Athlone as well. I feel this won't help. An intercounty manager should be fully focussed on the county team and not sidetracked by a club side well in my opinion. This will turn out to be another half hearted half arsed appointment. I do not agree, Di...

Re: Offaly Senior Inter County Hurling 2012
St Rynaghs must have a great backline. 3 on the county panel, S Wynne, D Horan and C Hernon. Must be the darkhorses for this years championship.townman wrote:Connor Hernon back on the panel,
