Re: Points difference rule??
If two teams finish level, the result between the two teams is what counts over score difference.

Re: Birr 2-22 Lusmagh 0-12
Clareen's point dropped against Tullamore will handicap them in the race for second place and the autoomatic quarter-final slot where Coolderry's superior scoring difference (accumulated against Lusmagh and not unduly harmed against Birr) would see them hold on. [/i] Not so. New rule (hard to keep ...

Re: Hurling Relegation play off
I wouldn't be surprised if there's no relegation play offs at all.

Re: Game of the weekend
How will the group pan out so if Tullamore have pulled out? Never mind Walsh Island, they have had a good league. Tis goin to be tough if Tullamore decide to field against the others, and how will points difference work if it comes down to it? Rule 117 ..... (c) Where Teams finish with equal points...

Re: WHERE NOW FOR JOE DOOLEY
Have Offaly improved under Joe Dooley?, Yes. But I'm not entirely convinced he can take them further. He has less talent than Joe to work with Not sure sure that's entirely accurate. There are some immensely talented players on that Dublin side that I can easily see becoming household names in the ...

Re: Offaly Championship Football 1st Round
Thanks for the info - very enlightening. Regarding the June thing first, I am absolutely stunned that clubs don't want to play a few league games or something while the Leaving Cert exams are on. It completely baffles me. No championship fair enough, but as was pointed out before, it's the gap betw...

Re: Offaly Championship Football 1st Round
why did we leave the entire month of June free? the leagues - perhaps by only having a final if necessary? The remedy is to have the fixture list freely available online on Offaly.gaa.ie I agree with a lot of what's being said, and I'm not suggesting for one second things are anywhere near perfect ...

I'm 90% sure I'm not going to attempt it now. Hurling is my priority - if the games were the other way round I'd go for it

Re: Offaly .v. Wexford - SFC Round 1 Qualifier - 4th/July/2009
Right now that's the plan, though other factors could banjax that yet. The likely complete lack of interest from anyone in Wexford makes it plausible to get away from Wexford Park in time. Out of curiosity Treas, was any approach made to maybe play the game in Bunclody ? I know it's too late now, b...

Re: Offaly .v. Wexford - SFC Round 1 Qualifer - 4th/July/2009
Is anyone planning on getting to both matches? Am I only fooling myself to be considering it, especially when the hurling would be my priority to begin with??

Re: Footballers dropped?
The difference is that there is so much rumour and counter rumour going around, I'd say feck all people are certain of it, and of those that think they are, a good percentage are possibly mistaken. Since (with a few exceptions) people posting on this discussion board are doing so anonymously, it th...
