Re: Coolderry's long and winding road to Croke Park

Well done POTH. Very good post. Massive battle ahead. Chatting alot of GAA people from different counties and I think it would be fair to say alot of people fancy Lougheil to win this. Coolderry will have to up the performance again for the full game. I wish them the very best of luck. Finish the job.

Re: FIXTURES

Thanks Killer B.

Just for future reference, where did you find them? Ive been looking up the Offaly gaa website which is generally pretty ok for fixtures of late but I could not find these fixtures.

FIXTURES

Anybody know if the Offaly gaa website has not been updated for league fixtures or if there is no hurling league rounds this weekend?

Re: Antrim v Offaly

I see Antrim manager Liam Bradley thought Offaly were a very poor team and that Antrim should have won the game by 29 points instead of 9. It is sickening when you hear this coming from a team that have feck all talent themselves. I hope Offaly can get their act together and start restoring some pri...

Re: U21 Football Management

Yes True red i was thinking they met Dublin in the semi and were well beaten but was this not through the back door. Im trying to think back and was of the opinion that they were beaten by Meath in the opening game and then went through the back door beating Longford. Could be wrong but somebody mig...

Re: Offaly vs Roscommon NFL Div 3 12th February 2012

Possibly couldn't disagree more with the sweeping statements and ancedotal evidence referred to in Long Johns post on the topic of gym work - from I what can gather, what is being stated is that running the sh*te out of lads is the way to build speed and stamina and just ignore the gym!! Suppose th...

Re: Offaly vs Roscommon NFL Div 3 12th February 2012

Lads your starting back into this rubbish about gym work. How many times has it to be said that the main problem with the lads at the moment is that (outside a lack of talent) they have not got a strong aerobic base. In November and December they should have been working on this themselves. If you c...

Re: Offaly vs Roscommon NFL Div 3 12th February 2012

Its just a complete joke of a squad. I know it might sound harsh but they are fecking useless. The majority of them are no better than the average club footballer. Put it this way, if you went to a club game in Offaly not knowing any of the players I guarantee you would not pick out the majority of ...

Re: all ireland club hurling championship

Well done to Coolderry. A great performance. One of the best ive seen from this group. Some of the scores were as good as Ive seen any day. To sum up how well Coolderry hurled in key positions you have to just look at the decisions Gort ended up making. Their full back, centre back and centre forwar...

Re: all ireland club hurling championship

Will be a very tough assignment for Coolderry. Gort have been very impressive from what I hear. They were comfortable winners over last years All Ireland winners Clarinbridge. From what I know of them, they have been there thereabouts in Galway for a few years. They have built on some strong underag...

Re: Offaly v Longford National League

I can see why Currams is getting a bit of stick here. I have crossed paths with him more in hurling than football over the years and theres no question he has good skill. He is seen as a bit timid and soft however. I know when Clareen hurl KK he is targetted as one of the players that wont like it p...

Re: Lost in the Bog

So will Shamrocks get a repreive in relation to their senior status or will we have a crazy situation develope with an 11 team senior team championship and 13 team intermediate championship. One senior group would have 5 teams and one intermediate group would have 7. I just don't get the logic behi...

Re: Lost in the Bog

How they would do in Senior is not the issue here. They have no god given right to be placed straight into Senior football. Not one of them have won an intermediate championship yet. Cappincur have won a Junior and worked themselves to the bone to win that. These Cappincur lads deserve the right to ...
