Re: Offaly V Kilare 2nd round of LSFC
So we have a few injuries but then so do Kildare with 2 important defenders, Doyle & O'Grady out & the recent retirement of Peter Kelly. So if we can get enough good ball to the forwards the novice Kildare defenders could be in trouble. Then Kildare have Dan Flynn back and McCormack who miss...

Re: Paddy Molloy - RIP
RIP Paddy Saw him in County Finals but memory has faded but the glorious June day in 1969 when completing a treble in Croke Park by dethroning All Ireland Champs. Re: My rivalry
Not to burst a balloon but was there not an unfortunate Championship meeting and replay in 1949 with Westmeath, Now I was only a year old but living in Doon and attending school & church in Ballinahown in Westmeath in the Fifties and early sixties we lived the rivalry every day. Kevin forgets th...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
Searingdrive: I was there for the stupidly awarded peno (Ref Tom Cunningham Waterford) in the 60 semi--McCarten charged into a few Offaly defenders, well outside the square, and bounces back off then onto his ass and was given the equalising peno……… I was not there in 61, locked up in boarding schoo...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
If you listen to some of the old timers 'the hurling crowd' (code for Fr Vaughan) lost the 1961 All Ireland by refusing to bring Peter Nolan home from New York; this is usually accompanied by a description of Nolan's outstanding display on Sean Purcell in a Railway Cup game. Now that was one of the...

Was not at it BUT A WIN, I'd take that any day...…..
Did think it would be handy after the 8 goals but 2 League points will do grand.

Re: Byrne v Duignan
Great to see that kind of expertise and experience being harnessed. The finance committee certainly looks like it is a huge improvement on what has gone on before..... I can see the Management Committee on the Official Offaly GAA website but not the sub-committees. Where did "jimbo" find ...
