Re: Intermediate Hurling
Timber , where are you getting your "coolderry not really intrested in developing young players " line from. Can you inform me with some evidence to back this up, or are you just spouting rubbish to get a jibe in at a certain club?

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Agree Puzzled, does anybody know what the format is for the minor A and B champ this year or are the co. board keeping it a secret and goin to announce the group stages to start the day before the county final :D . Did Clara even look to play in the A champ or were they happy to sit back and say not...

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Ya lads i tink that the ST davivs amalgamation have decided in the intrest of all the minor players invovled , that they wont field a team in the A champ and instead each club will field a team in the B instead. this gives alot more players a chance to play hurling this year, albeit at a lower grade...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
Brendan murphy (birr) and Eoin ryan (coolderry) both would have been definate starters if had gone in, both opted out due to leaving cert , as i guess would have been few others. But lads we are missing the point here, no matter who we had in training for maby 6/8 weeks only, WE STILL WOULD NOY BEAT...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
Private joker, tanx for that input on the Dublin set up. Offalys schedule involved starting about 6/8 weeks ago and then not having most of the panel for the past 4 weeks due to the leaving cert and offaly seniors having 1st call. A gud example of 'preparation' involved taking the team down to play ...

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Ya both Lusmagh and Cd both playing U16 B champ this year and are joined together to play in the A champ. Goin well by all accounts as they have beaten both Birr and Tullamore. I tink what it is that Lusmagh have only 2 players over 16 that can play minor & that anyone under U16 are not eligble ...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
Typical Offaly performance last nite, doin ok until the pressure comes on in the 2nd half. Dublin by far the better ' prepared' team in all aspects. The fact that we didnt concede a couple of goals, which would have made it look like a total hammering, makes it easier not to be over critical of the ...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
YEP he was carrying an injury from before the U21 final which didnt help his training, but to get dropped from the panel just when he was back to fitness was crazy by management. We hav 5/6 players from this years and last years very poor minor county panel on board tonite so that itself dosent look...

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Coolderry are not playing in the B champ on their own. They hav 2 players from Lusmagh entitled to play with them, so as a team that lost the B final at U16 level 2 years ago then its fair play to them to enter the A champ this year with the idea id say to give their players a better standard of hur...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling
Yep barry harding gone to the states, kevin connolly was dropped off the panel the same we he was dropped from the senior panel. I know he is very small and light to be with the seniors but cant see how the U21 management came to their decision. Sean gardiner, full back on the minor team, picked to ...

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Sorry joe bloggs i thought it had to do with shinrone / kinnitty trying to put a team together to play A championship, i had not heard of the davids / tullamore saga. IF so i am shocked to see that it the county board are waiting untill july to get it sorted. MINOR A final hopefully will be played o...

Re: Minor Hurling Championship
Something to do with the set up as regarding teams ammalgamating to play in the minor A, and still play in the minor B on their own, i tink it was kinnitty & shinrone tried it but the co. board didnt allow it to happen. Typical of the set up in this county, mid july before any minor games to be ...

Re: Offaly GAA Fixtures October 30 - November 6
Kinnityman your dead rite re the minor championship, only that it was not 1 group of 8 teams instead it was 2 groups of 5, with each team playing the teams in the OTHER group i.e 5 matches apeice. IT ended up a bit of a farce when 2 teams in group 1 beat all the teams in group 2 and still 1 of the o...
