Re: Minor Football 2015
Thought McEvoy in midfield was excellent in final and amazing he couldnt make the Offaly minor panel this year. Is there many of that Ferbane team underage again next year. They seemed very big and strong compared with Edenderry. How many of the Edewnderry team are avilable next year.....I know Adam...

Re: Minor Football 2015
Ferbane were well worth the win but edenderry never turned up....... these lads have had loads of success now and years above them have had it too at underage.....It is time ferbane started reaching county finals and semis at senior now on a regular basis........ to me they havent harvested the tale...

Re: Minor Football 2015
There would have been a good bunch of people involved with next years minors up to U16 where they went pretty much unbeaten for 3 years from U14 through to U16...... had a family member involved and they were well coached and drilled in everything from diets to strength and conditioning and football...

Minor Football 2015
Heard today from a lad who would be "well informed" that Paschal Kellaghan is not returning as minor football manager for 2015........was surprised to hear it..... obviously not from horses mouth but seems it is fairly reliable...........

Re: National Hurling League 2015
little bit unfair on that there Sam i'd say...... there was an awful lot more wrong last year than the fitness training id say......management disengaged a lot of players and belief would have been on the floor......id say the apparent lack of fitness was possibly as much to do with players lack ofo...

Re: National Hurling League 2015
Hopefully management can get the best available players in the county to commit to the team this year. It seems this is going to be a challenge given the number of players who walked last year. Players all wish to play for Offaly and all invited players will join the panel provided that : Physical ...

Re: Offaly Hurling Championships 2014
Agree with Lone shark here......KK were excellent...and will take stopping in Leinster.....fierce strong up the middle and Mahon was excellent today along with Kilmartin, as was currams and Gorman who has showed some real bite he previously lacked up front .....On the wings, Con Mahon, Brian Leonard...

Re: football championship 2014
Niall mc way past he's best(today will prove it) anton won't score more than 2/3 points (today will prove it) Alan mc hasn't the legs rigney is dodgy (today will prove it).Edenderry have a fit young team who attack in droves.get the ball in fast to the full forward and they will score.if Dalton fit...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
Good choice with Flanagan......best inside guy available......the key now will be to equip him with the support structures and personnell required for an intercounty senior team.....cutting corners will only serve to undervalue the potential of the team which could easily get up to division 2 within...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
really, to get a proper answer on this, one would need to speak to McDonnells management team, the players and the people concerned...... the truth is out there if you really want to know.......

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
My understanding was that it was to do with professional backroom support team members that walked away from the set-up - not because of anything to do with McDonnell but grievances they had with county board which would be nothing new. These were key players that management and players would have w...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
Jimbob, why are you so keen to believe what was said by Niall Mc Named? Just because that is his opinion doesn't mean it is a true representation of what actually happens! Maybe Pat Flanagan is exactly what we need herein Offaly. That the manager is the boss, not the players! Worth a shot anyway!!! ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015
Reckon this is more Sligo calling the shots on Flanagan than anything as he hasnt committed to them yet despite them wanting him to stay on...... It may mean he will get the Offaly gig but Sligo would have felt held to ransom that he hasnt said either or......Turns out now that Flanagan will have to...

Re: football championship 2014
Thought Rhode were streets ahead of Clara today....... Going forward Clara offered very little against a hard working Rhode defence who closed off the space easily v a clara team that seemed too slow moving the ball forward and a good few lads were more intent on soloing than moving the ball quickly...

Re: football championship 2014
If this is true, it is an absolute disgrace. He should be suspended for misconduct and I am serious. To put a players life in danger like that is just phenomenal! He was obviously in the ambulance in the first place for a reason. If a player put another players lefe in danger intentionally, wouldnt ...
