Re: Offaly v Antrim

Theres no doubting that this is going to be a very stern test for the lads.I have every confidence in Ooooofaalllllyaaaa ability wise,I think in that respect we are a superior team, not by far though. But a major concern that I would have,is the presence of any dogged determination in the camp,because...

Re: Offaly Jersey

I've often enjoyed slagging some Dub friends whenever I see them wearing the white-ish version of their jersey, since Dublin never actually have to wear it (no other county has light blue in their colours). They cant seriously call it their "Away" kit since they whinge so much whenever th...

Re: Loss to Antrim

BnM,the weather did deteriorate considerably in the 2nd half, with a deluge of hail stones at one stage. The wind was more or less as it was before half-time,but the precipitation did worsen, and it seemed to affect the Offaly lads' ability to hold onto, control and even rise the ball, whereas Antrim did...

Re: Loss to Antrim

Conditions were beyond difficult, but the boys managed to display some of the heart that will be needed in the summer.First half was all Offaly, considering that we had the aid of a gale force wind,we were only 4 points up at the break.Antrim scored 1-4 by the break, agin the wind I might add.In the se...

Re: Offaly objecting to Casement Park for the Walsh Cup final

Has there been any word back on the appeal from the county board, pertaining to the venue for Sunday's Walsh Cup final?
As an aside, are many of ye folks intending to travel up,if the game is still being played in Casment?
Allez.

Re: Offaly objecting to Casement Park for the Walsh Cup final

Sheer lunacy!I can't see any problems with fielding this fixture in Casement,in fact it'll be good for d'aul cross-border relations. In terms of sporting advantages the location for this final is mutually beneficial. It'll be a stern test for Joe Dooley and the team to see if they are capable of withs...

Re: BELFAST OR TULLAMORE.

Belfast wins all hands down, tis the place to be,plus,if ye'll pardon the expression, where the royal treatment will be dished out.Nevermind the fact that its a final, where silverware is up for grabs. When was the last time we won a trophy? You guessed it,agin' northern opposition in the form of Down,so...

Re: "Tullamore West"

Ah the drive of capitalist continues apace, god bless democracy. The Flanagan juggernaut still remains a powerful force. To be honest,I don't think there's alot that the constituents can do about it.Think about it,a Fianna Fail politician for a start.Prominent local figure and and property magnate too....

Lads, not to worry. I being an esteemed comrade in the Offaly Liberation Organisation have been working alongside the best that West Belfast has to offer, some fine tradesmen I tells ya. Arragh, not at all, I’m a BIFFO studying up here and I’m really looking forward to that night in February. It’s a...

Feck it folks, there’s no reason to be afraid of the Jackeens, Meath are a poor side and they made Dublin look good, so if the footballers can show the same heart, determination and pride that the hurlers displayed last Sunday, then I am quietly confident that we can derail the GAA-hyped express tra...

Fair enough, half-way line, underneath the commentary box, on the terrace could be far more advantageous for viewing purposes. So ‘tis agreed then, mass congregation is critical if we are to make our voices heard. Allez.

Fair aul post there POTH, everything that is required of Offaly, which you pointed-out, needs to be met if we are to keep pace with KK, let alone defeating them. Although I’m not overly confident that we can. ALLEZ.

Here here, full, unwavering support is hugely important on Sunday. Arbarg and me good self will be flying the flag, town end methinks. So if a point of congregation is formally established now, then it is more likely to attract more fans to the one spot on Sunday. ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ.
