Re: U20 intercounty football league - development league
cheers for that, might catch one or two of them, an interesting competition which one thinks should work at intercounty senior level if there was time..

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
I'll say it again, scoring no goals at this level is a concern, no team is entitled to score a goal but the points tally is probably not that wonderful either by today's standards, surely a goal or two we should be getting against the perceived stronger teams in the division and more against the wea...

Re: NFL Div 3 predictions 2023
NFL DIV 3 Rd 2 weekend 4/5th Feb 2023 Down v Antrim, Páirc Esler - Down had a good away win in Tipp last week and were impressive particulary in 1st half. Antrim were the opposite and had a great second half agains us Offaly in Belfast. Will be tighter than many think but one would think Down will h...

Re: NFL Div 3 predictions 2023
would take a a 6 point win away in Antrim anyday of the week, in recent years anywins away in league were by a couple of points and often with no goals at all...2-12 decent return going by scores accross other divisions..like most I was only listening to it so cannot be critical...Fermanagh next is ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
certainly dont agree with drafting in players at any time to play any game, be it this O'Byrne cup final or the prodigal son (or daughter) who hasnt been involved all year and when the team get to a semi final, all bets are off and the chairmans granny might even be listed on the matchday programme ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
apparently no sanction for pulling out from what I see, surely there should be for all teams who do, if thats the case why bother entering...I agree in ways but will withdrawing or not playing (call it any which way one wants) benefit either Offaly or Louth, we can argue it will give us the best cha...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
interesting to see where the county board rest with Liam kearns views..mostly the anoraks at CB level circle the wagons not to upset Leinster council or Croke Park...is there fines for the countys who didnt fulfill their fixtures last night?..normally thats enough to trigger to county boards into ob...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
I honestly dont see Offaly being a banker for any game, looking at them not one game you could put your money on us winning, hopefully we will play good attacking football and give ourselves our best chance...

Re: Club Hurling Managers 2023
interesting to see how Birr progress under Gary Cahill, struggled early on last season and went out with a fight in semi final after not turning up for first half of that game..looks a bit like like "steady as she goes" there approach..Colin Lynch to Rynaghs a strange one, one of two ways ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
And we are confident of beating Carlow??? If we have a stronger squad than last few years yes we might, I don't hear any new kid on the block that will be the difference, getting one or two back that weren't involved last year is vital if we are to have any hope of reversing defeats such as Carlow l...

Re: Club football managers 22/23
When I say signed I mean fully committed (written or verbal) but if he has signed/committed (fully beforehand) and then walks away when a more attractive offer arrives it is poor carry on, Ballinabrackey on their statement indicate that is what happened, Flanagan hasnt said anything that I heard tha...

Re: Club football managers 22/23
Someone posted above that Ballinabrackey have a better backer (or something to that effect) than Sarsfields... while not fully up to speed with both clubs I would have thought Sarsfields with its big standing in Kildare would be better off financially than Ballinabrackey..I am of the opinion that Pa...
