Re: Just For The Record
As a hurling manager at senior level Joe Dooley has never won anything. Nothing not a piece of silverware. Do you mean at Inter-COunty or Club level?? now please tell me u aint going to come out and say he helped Clareen to a junior title. jesus chriest. As for the comment previous about dismissing...

Re: Just For The Record
If any of you are surprised by the recent grumblings in Offaly Football camp i would say to you - dont be. Offaly GAA is at an all time low at the moment. I said it last year and i say it again the county board in Offaly is an absolute joke and it is largely to blame for the lack of success and lea...

Radio 3
Just how bad are Radio 3. Listening to their coverage of the hurling yesterday and the expert analyst (sorry i didn't get his name) said it was strange to see an Offaly hurling team without any Whelahans. Was he living in a cave for the last few years? I wonder do other counties have this same stand...

Re: The Betting Thread
If having a bet on a match is your thing then you must go with the head or else your on a one way ticket to loosersville. I'd love to see offaly win the double but that doesn't mean i'm going to back them

Re: Walsh cup final
Steady on there now, it would be good to beat the dubs before we head into division 2, but i wouldn't regard winning the shield as capturing some silverware

Re: Lory Meaghar Cup
I'd say that a north offaly hurling team would be very good for the development of the game in the county, but seeing as we have dont even play at Intermediate or junior team i couldn't see the county board being bothered. A lot of the players would probably be dual players and this would be used as...

Re: Leinster or Munster
So the draw has been made and if Munster win the have a home tie, and should Leinster win they would be against Munster. So where will it be played if this comes to pass. Thomand not allowed and munster must find a venue with a 25k plus capacity. Central council might have to make a big call on this...

Re: welsh cup vs UCD
As for the referee he is in for some bashing, happened to be standing beside the referree's accessor ( a meath man!) for this game and he absolutley slated him and filled what must have been a dozen A4 pages about him..from everything ranging from missing throw balls, not giving yellow cards and th...

Re: Leinster or Munster
So lads Leinster managed to get through to QF. Wouldn't it be amusing if the beat Harlequins and were given a 'home' semi. The game would probably go to Thomand (unless they had drawn munster), while on the otherhand if Munster win and get a homer they will have to go abroad. The Gaelic Grounds whic...

Re: Offaly 3-15 Offaly 1-10
Shane Dooley was quiet, though he struck the penalty well, presumably through a hole in the net? I’m not sure how much he knew about the second goal from an overhead pull, though he was well positioned to score both. Very different refereeing to last Sunday. In the Galway match Anthony Stapleton ha...

Re: Emigration and the GAA in Offaly
Best of Luck Rynagh's Biffo. Don`t forget to bring the new jersey so you can show your colours when you`re watching Offaly`s dual forces during the Irish summer. And you can take the shirt of my back too. I hope the rynaghs hurling colours will be alright but i think i might have stretched the fabr...

This one is about rugby and we are all Gaa people in here, but I'm just wondeing as offaly people where would your loyalties lie if Leinster end up playing Munster in the Heinekin Cup Q.F. or even later on :?: There is a lot of people in Leinster who support Munster but i doubt there is anyone from...
