Re: When do the club draws take place?
That would be rhodes third team that is in the junior they have a team in the intermediate aswell, and they fulfilled all fixtures last year and stayed junior a. Yes but Rhode had the players to compete at those grades. If they had a poor panel to pick from and were in Junior A getting hammered, I ...

Re: When do the club draws take place?
Kilcormac-Killoughey entering four teams - Senior, Inter. & both Junior grades. I know they're on the crest of a wave at the moment and they've a population of c3k, but that's still impressive stuff. Yes KK have loads of hurlers. Big area to pick from. They will be very fancied to win the inter...

Re: When do the club draws take place?
Yes leantimes it is very annoying. To be fair I know shamrocks requested to be put in Junior B the last two years but the county board didnt not allow it. From talking to players around there, they are more or less getting anyone who has a pair of boots to play a bit of junior but when they are in J...

Re: When do the club draws take place?
Looking at the football the senior is very predictable. Stroll in the park for Clara in their group. They have landed a very handy group again this year. Edenderry and themselves will walk out of that. Rhode and Tullamore would be expected to ease through their group. Ferbane are the team to watch t...

Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B
Reading Baker's comments really sickened me. Happy that Dublin didnt wipe the floor with them. What sort of attitude is that. For starters Offaly never feared Dublin and should never fear them. There is feck all to fear really. Good me arse, Dublin are middle of the road. They get a fierce amount of...

Re: Allianz-Hurling-league 1B
Really really worrying display by Offaly. Everything was lacking. I have said it before and I am even more convinced of it. This panel look like they are sulking because they have Kilkenny in the first round and are looking very defeated. That's the vibe going around and anybody who watched that gam...

Re: Hurling Managers and predictions
Horan will do well with Rynaghs. He has a good record as a player and manager. He is known as a great leader and very very well respected. And a big plus for them is he will get the most out of Diarmuid which alot of managers have failed to do. Rynaghs are expected to win a championship and lets be ...

Re: Hurling Managers and predictions
Will be interesting to see how the battle for the managers role pans out in Birr. I am suprised Donie Franks didnt get the best out of them. He is highly regarded as far as I know.

Re: New Ferbane Manager
He will do well with Ferbane. He knows them well, they will have massive respect for him and as much as anyone can try and play it down alot of these young lads have played in some very big games at schools level and are not used to losing. Its very fair to say they have a shot. The championship has...

Re: 2013 Fixtures
Good point from theman. I think Ferbane is an excellent price. Ferbane are very fancied by anybody I have chatted to. Alot of their more experienced yet still youg enough players have probably not performed as well as they should have. Now with the amount of young talent with experience of winning n...

Re: New Ferbane Manager
It would be a major shock at this stage if Ferbane failed to win a championship soon. They really should be pushing on and getting closer to it. Reilly is a good manager. Expectations are high.

Re: Hurling Championship
A Skenach/Villa combo should really win the intermediate this year. Its not all that long ago both were senior. They may have lost players but I would expect them to win intermediate with the pick of the two clubs best. The second team should be strong enough also. Rynaghs were strong last year in i...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2013
Massive improvement needed. It is good to be getting the wins but Westmeath were useless. Denis Glennon going off took the pace out of their attack. Dolan was'nt doing a massive amount so I dont think his loss was as big as Glennon's on the day. The worry is Glennon is not a great man for winning th...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2013
Its a worry that this is pretty close to the 15 that may start in the championship. Its great to get a win but I cant see what is there being good enough come the serious games. Young McPadden did well but Ive seen some pretty average club players give him very little. I know its a building process ...
