Re: New Minor & Senior Hurling Management
Joe Dooley, Ollie Baker, and Brian Whelehan all had one thing in common when it came to intercounty management, They had no experince of training teams at that level, so to even consider Danny Owens would be complete madness. Look at what happpened to Padjoe Whelehan when he threw his hand at managi...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
Tox you get so offended when somebody has a negative point on kk or Owens for that matter. Forde has coached at the top level as has Hogan, Owens hasnt. Look I am not saying he isnt the right man for the job but I do think who ever our next manager is it shouldnt be a gamble I think Owens would be a...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
I don't think Owens is up to that level. He is similar to Padjoe Whelehan when he was with Birr he has the strongest group of hurlers in the county at the minute and thats why they are winning it's not because of his matermind tactics on the line. We need a manager who has been there and done it and...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
I think this was coming for years and it really shows where we are at as a county.Daithi Regan predicted it a number of years ago and most of us laughed at him. For me and I think anyone who has any sort of an understanding about GAA can see where the problem is. The County Board 100% have to take f...

Some great points made on that post. I think it's a huge match we win not so bad we lose a pure disaster. Let's see how good Brian has homework done.

Re: offaly minor hurlers 2015
Can I just say it's frightening how far we are off the pace at underage level. 4th year in a row we have been beaten by Laois am I right in saying that? This is when people say "there is great work been done in Laois" but yer that haven't won a leinster title or even got to a final it's abo...

Re: OFFALY MINOR FOOTBALLERS
Truth as I see it....that is a terrible statement towards Birr. The work wasn't been done but it sure is now - it will just take a few years but we are still getting one player uo to senior ranks every year which is great. No need for the sly dig. Well done to team!! Would they have a good chance aga...

Re: Offaly Hurling Championship.
It's that time of the year again.KK are at the top while the rest are chasing.Just a quick bit on how I see things going this year and how I rate the teams. 1. K/K are the team to beat strong all over the field and are so physically strong other teams struggle against this. There only downfall i thin...

Re: Offaly v Waterford, NHL, Saturday 7th March 2015
I don't want to ruin this thread so briefly.....The county board told Birr once they got there safety report up to scratch the pitch was good to go..They got this done now they seem to be throwing more road blocks in front of them which is totally unfair on this new committee who are putting in huge...

Re: Offaly v Waterford, NHL, Saturday 7th March 2015
Lads I am seeing people writing posts about Dan Currams is out of form because of captaincy,Dan currams is not hurling well etc etc. It's noting got to to do with anything other than Dan himself. He is the best club hurler in thr county the last 2 years but I honestly can put my hand on my heart and...

Re: Offaly v Wexford, NHL, Sunday February 22nd 2015
Guys we are yet again going around in circles because of the bad appointment of managers.I will not question yesterdays commitment from players but would have to question or "game plan" or should I say the lack of one we had.Alot of guys seem to put a gloss on things on this website and no...

Just a quick one lone shark on your post...you make some great points but you would be first to find a hole in someone else's post so I have a found one in yours. While Colin Egan had a steady game at centre back your remark of him now beem a two sided hurler couldn't be any further from the truth.I...

Re: 2015 Walsh cup
I have been at matches and supported Offaly since the 70s but whats going on now has just changed Offaly Gaa for the worse and it will never be the same again.ALL the blame should fall with the county board. This is there third appointment who has no experince as a manager. They appointed him and he ...
