Re: U21 Hurling Championship.
TG4 is showing the final quarter final on Wednesday next 1st June, Wexford v Dublin. Chance to see what the standard is like in this years championship with the winners playing Westmeath in the semi final. For what it's worth both Leinster minor finalists from 3 years ago, Kilkenny and Laois are gone.

Re: Connacht set the example
There won't be a cow milked in Strokestown for a week ! I don't think Leo Cullen has what it takes to cut it as a coach at a high level.Comes across as very bland and uninspiring. Congrats to Connacht. Biggest job for them now is to bring in quality players to replace those who are leaving. Connacht...

Re: U21 Hurling Championship.
Kaiser Chief - I just checked Leinster Council website and it definitely says the game is fixed for Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow. Maybe this is subject to change ??? Apologies for bringing up "garrison games" but even if we lost first two games in Euros we would still be in with a shout ...

Just to confirm that per Leinster GAA website our semi final v Carlow is scheduled to be played on Wednesday 22 June in Carlow at 7.30 pm and Ireland's last group game in the Euros is v Italy also on 22 June at 8pm Irish time.
Maybe the might switch the soccer match if we ask nicely !!

Re: Offaly v Kerry, Leinster round robin, Sunday 22nd May
Congratulations to the hurlers today, and also to our minor footballers. Winning two championship matches on the same day is not to be sneezed at given our recent travails in both codes. Throw in the footballers win last Sunday and it hasn't been a bad last 8 days After the horror show of Cusack Par...

Re: Leinster MFC 2016
Good luck to the minors tomorrow against Wexford. They have rallied well after the loss to Dublin. I saw the team and I see there is not one player on the starting 15 from Tullamore (not sure about the subs). I don't have a huge knowledge of the underage football scene but it does seem incredible th...

Re: Leinster SFC Round 1 vs Longford
There was something incredibly cathartic about yesterdays win. There was almost a touch of nostalgia about yesterday in Tullamore. A beautiful sunny day, the smell of cut grass, and an Offaly team who produced much of what I would associate with good Offaly football down the years. They were honest t...

Re: Offaly v Carlow, Leinster round robin Saturday 7th May
Old Yellar - hard luck. I wasn't able to get to the match but I listened to CKLR coverage where the two lads while understandably looking at it from a Carlow perspective were fair I thought. They also did not know what second red card was for. First red was for pulling off a helmet which is a no no ...

Re: Offaly v Carlow, Leinster round robin Saturday 7th May
I suppose when your down on your luck a win is a win is a win. After last Sunday I wondered if we would ever win a game again ! RTE.ie states that "Carlow lost two men to straight red cards in the final five minutes, the influential Diarmuid Byrne followed to the line by substitute Hugh Paddy O...

Sorry for typo, under 21 game v Kildare is 25 May and not 22.
22 May we play Kerry in final senior qualifier game.

Re: Offaly v Westmeath, Mullingar, Sunday 1st May
Rodgie earlier mentioned the under 21s in a positive way.
The draw looks a bit lobsided here. We play Kildare in Newbridge on 22/05 with the winners to play Carlow or Laois in the semis.
Other side of draw is KK v Westmeath and Dublin v Wexford.

Re: Leinster MFC 2016
Good win allright ( OY 1-13, WW 2-9) as it's never easy to win in Aughrim at any grade. Followed it on Offaly twitter page. I think Mary Dunne the fixtures secretary provides a brilliant service there. Well done as it's very easy at the moment to bash our county board officials on the hurling front....

Re: 2016 National League Div 3
I didn't want to start a thread yet for the Longford game as its not for a few weeks yet. But on the subject of football it appears that Brian Connor played a stormer for New York against the Rossies on Sunday scoring four points. How we could do with him for the Leinster championship. Any aul chanc...
