Re: 2018 NHL
What are you on about greenairfield. Don't know why I got the special mention. I agree with frankthetank.. not the best team cause no birr on the 15. Wonder what's your best team I was talking to him over a pint earlier there. His best team is 1. Brian Mullins 2. Gary Cahill 3. Paul Cleary 4. Mick ...

Re: Leinster club championships 2017
Couple of things (from an outsider) on todays game. Cuala are a very good side. The ease with which they dominated KK in the air during the first 15 minutes I couldn't believe. They seem to be able to mix it anyway you want. The use of the respective half forward lines was telling. Cualas came deep,...

Re: Semi-Finals
Senior A Rhode v Gracefield - Rhode by 2 or 3, however I feel that an ambush may be on the cards. Ran close last year. 4 points. Ferbane v Clara - Draw. Clara to pip Ferbane in ET. Lots of variables. Anything could happen. Senior B Bracknagh v Tubber - Tubber by 2 or 3. Panda v Cunningham. Could ea...

Well worth a read folks. Funding 80% complete. Final push now so the facility will be debt free when complete . Super work by all involved in this. Things are genuinely looking up in our county. http://offaly.gaa.ie/2016/06/27/faithful-fields-fundraising-launched-dublin/ That is some achievement!!

Re: Offaly SHC
I heard Paddy Kirwan on the radio today after the Offaly camogie match.
Mentioned that he had resigned from Birr job, and didn't seem too amicable about it! What happened there?

Re: Hurling development squads [Split from Walsh Cup]
My mate was in Thurles today with his lad where our 16s tried to take on Tipp. He told me Offaly lacked intensity lacked pace and were almost always second to the breaking ball. Aparently a lot of players looked tired and ran out of steam very quickly. We played with a full deck except for Young Ki...

Re: Offaly SHC
Seems like a very open championship
From what I am hearing/reading any of Rynaghs, Clareen, KK, Coolderry or Birr could win the championship without it being a shock.
Sounds even more competitive than Laois!
What is the unrest in Birr related to?

Re: Rhode in Leinster
I hope this post doesn't come back to haunt me but I fully expect Rhode to beat Vincent's in the final. Their journey has been too great and they have proved their worth too many times to fall at this hurdle again. Rhode by 4. Don't be so hard on yourself. When did something written on the internet...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
If Owens was from Laois, Westmeath, Carlow and even Wexford and had the success with a club in that county, 3 county titles, a Leinster title, Leinster finalist and an All Ireland final appearance he'd be a shoe-in for the job no doubt about it. But for some reason he's not even interviewed for the...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
The majority of the rest of those players from back then haven't done anything like that in the last ten years. They've taken the handy €100 a night gigs in club jobs in Laois, Tipperary and Galway on occasion all right, but you couldn't say that they've looked to develop themselves...... I often w...

I don't think you will be seeing Ger Coughlan and Paddy Kirwan on the same management team anytime soon!
