"going into matches expecting to lose is bad news. " I agree - however I'm not sure how you condition yourself to believe otherwise when there's no logical basis for it. You cannot apply logic to the sporting arena.Bookies do.And most of the time they win.But sometimes they lose.Liverpool...

Upon reflection Birr V Rynagh's would probably be the bitterest rivalry in Offaly hurling.Stories abound of rigorous training sessions throughout the nineties when there would be 2 fellas going up and down either sideline throwing hurls cos there was serious timber been broken off lads during traini...

Edenderry v Rhode has to be the top one.for sheer hatred alone.(a strong word but thats essentiallly what it is)Croghan v Rhode wouldnt be as bad because nearly all of the Croghan lads played underage with Rhode and secretly harbour ambitions of donning the green and gold jersey for the village. :tw...

I'd like to see Shamrocks win it.If only it would keep Ronan Mooney in the county and maybe he would stick around long enough so that the county selectors could have a look at him.

Also i'd like to see my new Avatar in operation

Have to agree with Lone Shark(which isnt very often  ) regarding Thomas coughlan.Thought yer man in the Express went way overboard in his assertion that he was going to do a job for Offaly at midfield next year. As far as i can see he will be holding onto a jersey next year somewhere in the re...

An Rod 3-08 Eadan Doire 2-7

4 points in it at the end but it could have been Edenderry's day.Rhode got 2 lucky enough goals.Edenderry had one disallowed for a definite pick up.Scoreable frees were kicked wide. But in saying that the men from the village took their chances and deserve to be in the semi final draw. They will have ...

Interesting.Agree with all of your forecasts bar the last one.Hopefully the Reds can put it up to the champions in a big way.

On a side issue,if i went down to the local Paddy Power bookies would i got those odds that you were quoteing on a different thread.nearest one to me would be in Kildare.
