Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
LS I think Jimbo has answered your question. The reason there’s no evidence of the hard work on the field of play is because the players in my (again unqualified) opinion are doing too much. I have played and trained at a reasonably high level so I would like to think I have an idea of what I am tal...

Re: Allianz FL Division 4 2013
I just thought I'd let everyone know the reason why Offaly are performing so poorly at the moment......It might come as a shock to some but to anyone who really follows football in the county, it's merely stating the obvious.........we don't have the players. Simple as that. We can spend hours discu...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2013
Very good battling performance from the lads yesterday with plenty of heart and commitment on show. Big improvement on where we were this time last year and it’s nice to be competitive again. However I wouldn’t be getting too carried away. As stated by BnM already, Offaly are closer to their perform...

Re: Rhode Have new manager
Very surprised when I heard about this, hard to believe a manager who won so much wouldn’t get a second year. In my own club he’d be given the freedom of the town! But I would make one observation and its this……why didn’t any of the players speak at the agm and put forward the case for retaining the...

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
Those who say there’s nothing anyone could have done to win that game are probably correct but I just can’t agree. Kilmacud were the stronger team but make no mistake, Rhode could easily have won that game. I have looked at it twice since and by God how things could have been so much different. Look...

Re: Offaly vs Down SFC Qualifier Rnd 3 - 17/07/2010
The losing of that game was the missed chances in the first half and Cribbins reluctance to change Scott Brady from full back. In all fairness the man got cleaned out, why the hell wasnt he at least changed to another position? Fair play to the lads though, at least there was heart and determination...

Leinster JHC Club Final
Just hoping someone can clear up something for me........Edenderry are supposedly contesting the Leinster Junior Hurling final this Sun but on Hoganstand it shows that a Kilkenny club the Black & Whites beat a Dublin team last sunday to claim the LJHC thus making it a clean sweep for Kilkenny cl...

Re: Football Draw
Whats going on with football in Edenderry? Both teams in a relegation battle. Its not good for Offaly football when you have one of your main towns struggling so badly. Yes soccer is strong in the town but that cant fully explain why they're in this situation.

Re: Offaly v Wexford - NHL Division 2 Final (03/05/2009)
Does Shane Dooley have the necessary bottle to be our free taker in big games ? Why the management team was so slow to make changes in the forward line when it clearly was not working ? Are Bergin & Dooley untouchables & no matter how they perform they will be left on ? This pretty much sum...

Senior Football - Alan Macnamee Inter Football - Ken Casey Junior - Anton Sullivan Minor - Anton Sullivan Just out of interest who picks these? For me its a joke that Anton received two awards. Yes he had an excellent year but why give him two awards? There was at least two other players on the Rhod...

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
lets be honest here if Kilmacud and Rhode met again in the morning KIlmacud would win pulling up Come on man lets not get carried away here. Yes I agree that the first goal might or might not have been given and the second goal......well its plain for all to see but to say Kilmacud would win pullin...
