I reckon that if we lose to Laois then it will be a major blow to Offaly because we'll back to square 1. Laois aren't any great shakes & if we should have no fear playing them. It depends how much losing Leinster has taken out of the lads, but I'm hoping that they can lift it & put the pride...

Tom I'm not been harsh on Scott here...as players go I think he's 1 of our best. Nor do I dispute that his sendings off were very harsh on both occassions!!! I'm just more curious to find out what kind of odds you'd get on him to get sent off for the third championship match in a row?? That surely w...

I hate doing this but...I'm going to have to agree with Lone Shark here. Realistically Offaly have reached a Leinster final without ever really playing well. They allowed Wexford far too much time on the ball the last day & allowed Wexford run at them way too much....especially straight down the...

In the Hurling Offaly 1-13 Limerick 2-10 In the football Wexford 2-11 Offaly 0-12 Can't see Wexford giving Offaly the same goal chances that they gave Meath, plus John Cooper is an excellent shot stopper. I reckon the full back line will probably know that Froggy is going to be brought on at the 1st...

I think that people are probably misreading what I meant by I'd only play mac at midfield because we have no one else....what I actually meant is that I'd have preferred to have played him at center forward because without him there we have a very small & light half forward line. Thus explains w...

I find it hard to understand how people can say that we lost by 9 pts yet their still happy!!! Sunday's defeat has highlighted Offaly's weaknesses even more so than the defeat to Dublin did. Our team is still not able to play 70 minutes football at anything even near championship pace. Our whole def...

I think its probably a bit late now to be calling for Kilmurray's head, the reality is that he was the wrong man for the job from day one!!! The simple truth is that the Offaly team at the moment player for player is not a patch on the Offaly team that won Leinster back in 97. Too many of the player...

I'm very surprised to see Neville at midfield, can't see him winning much ball out there. Having Slattery back will help us because he is a class apart, would ike to have seen him pushed in to the half forward line but he probably will cover ever blade of grass in Parnell Park anyway so it really wo...

You can buy the video on the O'Neills website, just go on to the hoganstand, there's a window pops up for 50% reduction in O'neills, go in there, you'll see a DVD/Video link, go in there & the video "A year til sunday" is there. I remember it was a fantastic insight in to how a team wa...

I think the draw has made this years championship some what interesting. Rhode will do very well to go through their group unbeaten & provided they make it out of the group they could easily be beaten because in truth they are going to have 4 very hard games to just get out of the group. Can't u...

I think the reality is that Sid doesn't have the pace to be a county defender anymore!!! I know people will say he should be then played in the full forward line but lets be serious here....he's not going to get a huge amount of good service when we face a team like wexford, you couldn't see him win...

Played this game yesterday....its terrible, the players are impossible to make out, they can't score points from long range, players can't hop the ball or solo at speed, the commentary is woeful & none of the players are given names!!! Its like something you'd have played on the commador 64!!! F...

This message began with the idea that Mac shouldn't be criticised so for me to have to make a response to the Lone Sharks comments thats exactly what I'd have to do. However its probably best that I don't but I will make this point. The Lone Shark pointed out that Offaly haven't done it since the me...
