Re: Club football championship 2023
Very quiet here after a good game at the weekend. Was away and couldn't make it but by all accounts, Ballycommon will be kicking themselves but at the same time will have plenty of confidence going in to the replay.

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
if it is a wet day forecast the crowd will be cut, no slight on Birr, just the fickle nature of the snowflake brigade plus the liklihood of an impeded view with the proliferation of umbrellas.
Not Birrs fault...weather

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Give it a rest Greenairfield, don't think anyone here is complaining about it being in Birr?
Should be a great occasion, go or as most people decide, don't go to the match.
Birr deserve an opportunity, and seem to be making a good effort for the game.

Re: Club football championship 2023
Senior B final at the weekend. Very interesting contest in store. I would have thought Clonbullogue but think Ballycommon are in with a shout. 2 well organised teams and great to see the progress that both clubs have made and is a sign that working hard at the underage can pay dividends. Hopefully t...

Looking forward to it, just looking forward to a big crowd and a good game. Badly needed.
And a few scoops in Birr, been too long

Re: Club football championship 2023
Any thoughts on the Senior B semis or Intermediate? Senior B, Ballycommon very impressive and have put in a good year. They were surprisingly comfortable against neighbours Cappincur. Cappincur got to a semi final from an easier side of the draw it now appears and they looked very poor, unfit, and n...

Re: Proposed change to age grades at both county and club level
The point is also relevant in Tullamore and in best interest of Offaly GAA, there should be more made of Tullamore. There is probably a market for a second club in Tullamore even though they could rightly argue they are closely surrounded by Durrow, Ballinamere, Cappincur, Clodiagh Gaels and Shamro...

Re: Club football championship 2023
"Glad to hear its on TG4" Hopefully this doesn't take away from the crowd, after a lot of whiging over the standard there were 2 very good semi finals and from what I seen of the Intermediate over the weekend there was great entertainment. As the GAA saying goes, nothing beats being there!...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Ah shur I could list names, but what I am saying is that there is pressure on Declan Kelly i would guess to look outside the core names that have been there for the last number of years to unearth 3 or 4 to compliment Keith O'Neill and John Furlong as 2 who will be new additions in terms of starters...
