Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Watching the Clare limerick game on Sunday, they were all keeping a safe distance from each other. Covid 19 hurling. everyone one I talked about that game all struggled to stay awake. Without the crowd modern hurling is so slow, players may be fast but the hurling is boring, It's heading for none co...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
Great win by our minors. how times have changed What's wrong in South offaly, kk are producing players consistently but they were always regarded as outside the hurling heartland of South offaly.. 5 of next years senior a clubs have no player on the team and clareen birr and Belmont have 1 each. The...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
What worried me today I over heard two guys arranging for all the lads to come over to watch the games together, have a few beers, sure it will be like Croke Park one said.

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
Should the gaa not call off the championship now? No championship in 2020 won't kill anyone but covid 19 will. People are not to visit each others houses yet 3 hurling panels and 3 football panels from each 32 counties will travel around playing games. That's senior u 20 and minor panels of approx 3...

Re: Standard of Senior club hurling in Offaly
Poth where in my point did I say drive it or give the ball away, I belive a flick to the guy in space can open an defence but that has to be taught I am a great believe in teaching all skills. Re: Standard of Senior club hurling in Offaly
Could the problem be not that players drop balls but the inability of players to move a ball on the ground or in the air if it does not go the hand. Great if ur let catch it. The reason is first time hurling is not coached, it easy to coach running, short passing but it take real skill and coordinat...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
One thing that bugs me if carroll meats were based in Dublin and had 230 workers with 9 positive cases, Dublin would not be locked down, Dublin City would be in a small geographical area than offaly where the population is more compact so higher risk. So even though the cluster is the same because D...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
I can't see the intre county championship taken place this year. I think the most cb can afford to spend the money needed to prepare County teams this year. Would the GAA have not been better just running the club competition this year. The could have an all Ireland club final as normal. It would me...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
All games were competive, cooldery and kk seem to be blooding new players this year, St Rynagh have a settled panel, all 3 got the wins if the win another group game all 3 should be in the semi. Kk seem to have a replacement for G healion at full back in J Quinn and Tom Spain put the shackles on É C...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020
With the Covid-19, there will be guys around playing club hurling that would outwise have gone traveling. Look at the impact d horan made for St Rynagh last year. I hear both Dan currams and James Gorman are back home for kk. Not sure whether that true but kk will have Tom Spain who transferred this...
