Re: Weekend Quarter Finals
I wouldnt be so sure that Dublin will take a pasting. Mainly because I am not sure Tyrone are good enough to do it but also because Dublin have developed a very high work rate which may not win them games against the better teams, but it will see that they don't take too heavy a beating either. Some...

Re: Tom Cribbin
I was just about to post that the last thing Offaly football needs now is a change of manager.
Then, like AZ, The Bare Biffo is flabbergasted at him referring to himself in the third person, John McIntyre did it too.
Has to cast some doubts, but still, he has to stay.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management
Joe Dooley has probably done just about enough to be given another year at it and see if the promise hinted at this year can be built on. But I would like to see him take a lead from the likes of Peter Fitzpatrick and not be afraid to bring in some expertise who could bring something extra to the te...

Re: Offaly vs Waterford All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Rd. 2 10/7/10
Well done to the footballers. No easy ones left in the draw but wouldnt it be nice to get Wexford in Tullamore for some sweet revenge, and also because there will be some beatable provincial final losers in the following round.

The darkness is upon me...............I cant shake the feeling in the pit of my stomach that the games against Galway have been mightily overblown.
Fearing the worst on Saturday night.

Re: Offaly Will play Longford in Minor Final
No bother on the hill with the dubs so long as you dont go in under the scoreboard.
Listened to Shannonside FM in the car yesterday evening, Longford lads are delighted to be in a Leinster final and hoping that Offaly's big win back in April will leave them complacent.

Joe Dooley seems to be a very nice man and says a lot of nice things, sometimes I wouldnt mind seeing him having a really good go at something.

Re: Offaly vs Laois Leinster Minor Football Semi-Final JUNE 30
Well done to the minors on a one point win. 0-10 to 0-09
Sounded like a struggle but thats always the way when you have to listen to Gerry Russell. Anyway a win is a win and another Leinster final looms.
Sounds like Graham is a good prospect.

Re: Delegate slams 'sub-standard' Offaly football team
Its nothing personal Bare Biffo but its exactly that attitude that has us where we are. Do you think any of the players from Kerry, Meath, Cork, Tyrone etc would go on the beer 2 weeks before a championship match? I don't think so.. To be honest I am quite sure my attitude has absolutely no impact ...

Brilliant analysis of both Offaly .v. Galway games here: http://www.anmoltoir-hurling.blogspot.com/ Essential reading, particularly on the question of 'Are we really a young team?' Lots of stats included in a very different style of analysis. Interesting, but I would be in the Johnny Giles school o...
