Re: Intermediate Football Championship
Clonbullogue 0-11 - 0-11 Cappincur How Cappincur didnt win this game I will never ever know. They totally dominated Clonbullogue from start to finish. Carroll and Daly lorded the middle sector, Ger Tracey was always showing and taking on defenders, creating opportunity after opportunity. There full ...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship
Not to stick up for the county board but they released a master fixture list in February for the championship and in fairness it's been pretty spot on soo far. As a clonbullogue man, let me tell you lean times you have nothin to worry about on Friday. We are a shambles at the moment. I don't get to ...

Re: This weeks fixtures......anyone got them?
Seriously, can the Offaly County Board not get fixtures right?
2 intermediate matches on for the same time in Walsh Island Friday night. This happened in the last round when there was 3 matches fixed for tuesday night in Killeigh. Only one of the teams copped onto it the week before

Re: Hurling Championship
Clonbullogue went to Tommy Byrne first, like they always do when they have a request for a fixture change. He said that that date would be kept free and we would be playing either the friday evening or saturday. I know Shamrocks are a dual club but that doesnt give them the right to not help facilit...

Re: Hurling Championship
Carrig/Riverstown v St.Rynaghs IHC game fixed for Saturday in Kinnitty has been moved to this evening and will throw in at 7:30pm in Lusmagh. Fair play to the management of the St Rynaghs team for agreeing to play the game on a date which was suitable to Carrig & Riverstown unlike Shamrocks Int...

Re: County Football (Potentials from junior and inter clubs)
Think the last 2 posts there sum up Offaly football's attitude - Negative! There are plenty of Footballers plying there trade in Junior and Intermediate that arent on the panel due to: 1- Playing a low standard means they dont get noticed enough as much as Senior footballers. 2- Negative attitude. I...

Re: IFC
Yep, Donnie buried it off the crossbar, came back out to the half-forward who caught it then went to hit only for the keeper to make a great save. Bit of scramble when a Doon player then got it and buried over the bar.

Doon 2-12 - 0-8 Clonbullogue Doon could of won this by any amount they wanted if they had there shooting boots on. The missed 3 goal chances in first half, including a penalty, and off the top of my head must have had 12+ wides in scorable positions. Clonbullogue got off to a great start going 4 poi...

Re: Offaly versus Kildare 16th June 2012
Looking back on this game and I think we threw away a great chance to beat one of the top teams in the country. We raced out of the blocks and had the lillies rattled after 10mins but then we start doing what we have been doing the last few years - making too many simple mistakes. Why couldnt the si...

Re: Feile 2012
Editor, i dont know how to copy co-ordinates but the Kinnegad Ground is located in the town. If your coming from offaly side of the town, on google maps, its the last right before the Killucan road. You have to drive through an estate to get to it. If your looking on google street view you should se...

I would also like to know where these odds are avaiable?
Just to let others know, as far as I know the Clonbullogue/Shamrocks game is called off and I think shamrocks got the points

Re: Intermediate Football Championship
Think the standard of Intermediate football has fallen back a good bit IMO. Croghan couldnt even beat Rhode's second team in the Final despite been 7/8 points up in first half. Its between Croghan, Rhode and Shamrocks. Clonbullogue have lost 4/5 starters from last year so cant see them doing much. A...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship
Surely fixing this match for Portarlington makes no sense from a travelling point of view. And at midday, at that. Gracefield: Clonbullogue v Shamrocks D Walsh 12 noon Thats if the match goes ahead. Rumour has it that Clonbullogue are giving Shamrocks a walk over as they notified the county board a...
