Re: O'Byrne Cup 2012

Offaly have given a vote of confidence to the side that beat Westmeath last weekend for Sunday's O'Byrne Cup quarter-final against Kildare in Newbridge. Last year's goalkeeper Alan Mulhall has once again be named at full forward after impressing on his outfield debut against the Lake County. He will...

Re: offaly senior hurling squad 2012

That’s fantastic news about Diarmuid Horan if its true. Horan eager to revive Offaly career 12 January 2012 Diarmuid Horan is back in the Offaly hurling fold after spending the last three summers in the US. The stylish St. Rynagh's clubman, who is a son of 1981 All-Ireland winning captain Padraig, ...

Re: U-12's.

Go games are fine up to a certain age, maybe 10, but u/12's should play normal rules with a competitive edge, i'm not a fan of go games up to 12's.We played go games in Kildare and it put us a step backwards as we had played competitive matches earlier in the year. They should have brought go games ...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship 2011

Croghan are used to playing Rhode's seniors and always feel that they have a chance, now the roles are reversed and Rhode 2 must have a great chance, Sean Casey will be a big loss to the blues. Rhode by 2.

I just don't see this as a great pairing for the final as Clara will win easily.

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011

This wasn't a good endorsement for Tom Coffey's case for being the next Offaly manager. From late in the 1st half, Rhode were starting to hit trouble (managing one point in about the last 40 minutes). I saw no evidence of any change in game plan and there was few meaningful substitutions or switche...

I'd think raheen might just pip and croghan will win by 5 r 6
Rhode's position has been weakened with the 2 McPadden's playing in Rhode's senior win against Wassh Island. Croghan should have no fears now.

Re: All Ireland Hurling Final

The cats are not the team thery were but neither are TIPP, Their performance last year in the final was something else but they will never repeat that again. They are very dependant on Corbitt scoring goals and struggled big time against an ordinary Dublin team that Offaly should haver beaten The ca...
