Re: offaly footballers of the year???

See the thing with Dooley is he's an excellent taker of a score.....give him the ball even 40 yards out and he'll have a shot (usually not too far off the mark with it either). He's full of confidence. Not every forward has that....plenty of current county players are shy in front of goal. Remember...

Re: Interesting Reading From the Tullamore Tribune

The thing i would like to know why is he coming out with all this now about players and mangers
ger gave 100 per cent when he played but he wouldn't get into the top 30 hurlers who played for offaly
since 1980.

Re: Interesting Reading From the Tullamore Tribune

in regards the effort by some players? well over the past few years i think SOME of the footballers effort was certainly questionable but they appeared to try a lot harder this year. But as for the hurlers i cant honestly say ive never seen them put in less than 100%. Kilkenny 2005, Clare 2006, Cor...

Re: Interesting Reading From the Tullamore Tribune

Ger was right on some point's but he has to remember he was lucky to be around when we had some class hurler's in offaly so he shouldn't be so hard on some points about the young hurler's that are in offaly at the moment, if ger was only at the start of his offaly playing day's would we be any bette...

Re: Offaly Hurling Panel 2011

yes agree with you on Cathal Horan theres plenty of hurling in him, he was on the panel a few year's ago and Joe played him
centre forward which was wrong Sean Coughlan will be one to watch in the next few year's.

Plain of the Herbs wrote:Michael Cordial, Dermot Mooney and Mark Quinlan were also last year’s championship panel. All three were listed for the Limerick match in July.

Then again, Quinlan didn't make the Birr team when push came to shove.
Mark Quinlan was on the Birr team this year :?

Re: DRUMCULLEN THROUGH TO LEINSTER FINAL

The Kilkenny People's account of John Locke's semi-final win, written by Barrie Henriques who I believe is a Callan man. By the sounds of it they'll be something similar to Drumcullen. http://www.kilkennypeople.ie/sport/Happy-days-continue-for-fiercely.6628043.jp Barry Henriques is a Laoisman he pl...
