Re: Roe names strong side
I understand why this issue has divided this board. When the 109 players were named I for one welcomed the idea. This gave people a real chance. However, lets be realistic here, Laz Molloy and Pat Roe could not have seen this man play a lot or even at all . If they did it would have to have been bri...

Re: Roe names strong side
 Humble pie is a disgusting dish. I will be big enough to say this; Fair play he seems to be putting in the effort. I did not see Niall Kelly play so last year. My comment regarding Niall Kellys water-holding abilities was tongue firmly in cheek. And it is quite cowardly to say these things th...

Re: Roe names strong side
On the positives first... Delighted that Richard Fox has been given a shot to stake his claim. Backs look good and it will be interesting to see how Brady gets on in the number three shirt. However hopefully there is someone to inform me why David Egan, Ken Casey, John O'Hara and others are on the b...

Re: Eadan Doire CLG-Texas Hold 'em Poker
I suppose this post is more to True Red than anyone else but I would like to know what numbers the esteemed Edenderry G.A.A. would be expecting that night?
And perhaps more importantly what would the competition be like!

Re: Under 21 Footballers
Two interesting observations. As you know Colin Egan could be a real find. I have felt though that he needs to display the necessary aggression and ignorance needed for the midfield area. Without being uncouth David Larkin could provide this :D . Uncomfortable on the ball and lacking in finesse he m...

Re: Under 21 Footballers
James Gorman and Derek Molloy are seismic losses to Offaly football and especially the counties hopes of ascertaining a Leinster football crown. What a pity..... To lose two players in excess of six foot one in heighth with abrasiveness, strength and no little skill is a huge and perhaps fatal blow....

Re: Under 21 Footballers
The under-21 team for next year could well be a fruitful harvest OY13's team is quite good to say the least and seems to have selected the ripest fruit. However the man seeks debate... Unfortunatly the epicentre of my argument is propped by speculation.... 1. However would be interested to know if A...

Re: Footballers
As i did not attend Tullamore on Sunday this scoreline is only a number to me. I would have a couple of comments to make though if I may on the discussion so far; Without courting controversy I would equate Athlone I.T. to that of an extremely strong Intermediate/ weak senior team (Offaly). Though I...

Re: Offaly Club Football
You honour me with your calculated observations. :) Words are open to interpretation. Upon re-reading my review (The Ego has landed!) perhaps I was almost overly complimentary to the Edenderry garrison. I can assure however Lone Shark that I have no affinity to this East Offaly brigade. Without bein...

Re: Offaly Club Football
I think I can understand your confusion…. As it would be rude not to indulge your inquisitive streak….. Silken Thomas was, amongst other things, a young, rebellious aristocrat with anti- English sentiments who would have eventually inherited land all over Leinster and especially the pale. Received t...

Re: Offaly Club Football
Thanks for the welcome :) Seriously needs a bit of an editing in patches I might add  As for the sporting analogies, i restricted myself to a different sport per team ie tennis, rugby, showjumping (not a huge fan myself mind) etc. you get the drift...... Never thought of it until BNMM alluded ...
