Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State
I wasn't at it but if you go to the Midlands Sport facebook page 2 players lambaste it. Apparently the presentation by Martin Fogarty on under age coaching was very good but it was poor apart from that. One of the slides in the improvement of Offaly hurling included ground hurling. Enough said.

Re: U21 Football Management
Just read on Twitter that the Kildare game has been moved to Portarlington. Can anyone confirm? Would still be more or less a home game

Hurling to stay in Tullamore
O'Connor Park in Tullamore will be the main venue for the majority of county and club games should the Offaly management committee's decision be fully ratified by the county board. At last month's meeting, the management committee ruled that all Offaly senior football and hurling championship games ...

Re: joe dooley steps down
It was mentioned on Hoganstand that Liam Hogan of Ballyboden was been linked to it. Now i know its not the most reliable source but i think this would be a great appointment. They have dominated Dublin hurling, winning the last 4 county titles, and have several players on the Dublin panel notably Ke...

Re: Joe hits out at County Board
If the pitch is ok then there is no real reason to not play it in Birr. I'm a Tullamore man but the hurling should be played in Birr. The same people are going to go to the games anyway. Birr would provide a far better atmosphere so if the players and management want it i dont see what the problem i...

Re: Joe hits out at County Board
The only issue I would have with League games being moved to Birr is if we got a home draw in the championship odds are we would have to move it to Tullamore for health and safety. As our lads would be using Birr it would be like a game in a neutral venue. Would the Birr pitch be playable in the mid...

Joe hits out at County Board
Joe Dooley has forwarded a letter to the Offaly county board outlining his grievances at the way he and his players have been treated regarding the use of O'Connor Park for training purposes. The Offaly hurling boss was prompted to write the letter, which is published in today's Irish Examiner, afte...

Re: offaly hurlers (great effort)
It is on the Leinster GAA website that the Walsh Shield Final Replay is on Wednesday night in Portlaoise. Is anyone able to confirm this?
