St. Brigids & Ballycommon I know voted against it, so it wasn't unanimous. Not sure if any others did.

Re: Senior A Football 2019

So Tullamore into a Relegation Final with 2 wins from 4.
Cappincur into Q/F with 0 wins from 4.
Just bananas. Not ever remotely fair.

Re: Senior A Football 2019

I can see big trouble after next weekend with this criss-cross layout in Senior tables. One team will have at least 3 wins out of 4 and be in a relegation final while a team who lost all 4 matches will be in the Quarter-Finals. A similar scenario is unfolding in Intermediate as well. It was pointed ...

Just back for the reception on The Green in Clara, some crowds!
Fair rendition of The Rover to end the event from Mundy. Great occasion.

Stop stirring you... They are home games but Co. Board is running the gate. You buy a ticket or weekend pass to all games.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

we might differ on somethings, but I have to agree with the above post, and no disrespect or anything to anyone associated with Tullamore or its environs, as an avid Offaly hurling supporter I have to say, even personally, the journeys to Tullamore which I made in the initial days soon dried up, so...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

Maybe look at one of the real facts of why the heart and soul has been ripped out of Offaly hurling...a game in Birr might do them the world of good. If this is the reason for the 'slump' then we have bigger problems than I thought. Any player worth his salt shouldn't care if the game was played in...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup

A few new faces on the panel at tonight's training - all signs are positive for the next few weeks. I hope this doesn't turn out to be something akin to Ole at Man.Utd, new man comes in and there's a lift...just plastering over the cracks. Or, a sign that south players wouldn't put in the effort fo...

Re: Offaly Minor Football Team Named

[ Geansai Gorm probably hasn't attended one of the 20 plus games that this management have organized in preparation ] How many here have? Stupid question, I don't have anyone on the team and I'd say most parents haven't been to may of the games either. Yes, the county panels are well prepared in the...

Re: Offaly Minor Football Team Named

Oh dear, no scores from play, and defensive football. For me the point of minor and underage teams is to provide a platform to develop football skills and talent. Playing blanket defence robs young players of any spark of individuality or expression. It shocks me to hear young county teams play like...

Re: Meath v Offaly 12th May 2019 @3pm Navan

In fairness to both Meath & Kildare, they went down the road of centres of excellence years ago, forgoing any development work on their county grounds to give their county teams the best training facilities. Now they are both in the planning for re-develping their grounds. Offaly and Laois did i...

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

Was at Wheery V St.Vincents this morning in U20. Cian Johnston played, scored 1 point. Only I know who he is, I would never pick him out of all the players on view as a potential county player. He was well marked by young Bolger from Daingean, made Johnston look very ordinary. To be fair, conditions...
