Re: Offaly u20 2021
Could they move it back a week and have a double header on Saturday with the minor hurling final?.

Re: Offaly u20 2021
This is a special Offaly team, why you ask me, because they can win in Portlaoise. Great performance by the team and a great boost for the county. Having the seniors playing division 2 football there will be some competition in the squad in the coming years. As mentioned earlier the conditioning of ...

Re: Offaly v Kildare Leinster SFC 1/4 Final 2021
Best of luck today, I really think we have a great chance. If we get off to a good start and convert the goal chances it’s the scalp that could change everything for this team. Onwards and upwards.
Go on Offaly.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
This is it the players haven’t really broken into the kil/ kil first team let alone go for senior county. I wouldn’t say I know much about the underage players down through the years but there must have been some serious players whom for one reason or another moved on or lost interest. If you compar...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
Excellent job so far, one down and one to go and the importance of getting out of the Christy ring is huge. I might be going off topic here but the management has gone with youth which is great, kil/ kil underage the last period has been unreal and yet only one on the panel in Jordan Quinn, I know t...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
I could be wrong but Westmeath play Laois and the loser goes to division 2 and Offaly take their place in division 1 or is there another revamp promised for next year.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
Best of luck today to the players and management. A super day for a game of hurling and it’s a shame ye can’t get the big crowd in to support ye. Success starts at underage and with promotion finals at stake this week and next this is evident from the teams selected. With Leinster finals from 2020 s...

Re: Div 3 South predictions & general comment
I think Limerick beating tipp wasn’t a great result, all results could go down to the last game and scoring difference could come in, that is providing all teams beat Wicklow. Promotion will be a tough ask as it will be against one of the northern teams and we never seem to go well against them if w...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
The balance between 1a and 1b in the league is unreal. We are were we are in both the league and championship for a reason, we are now competitive underage for thelast few seasons and starting to see these come through at senior level. Ideally a season or two with the Joe mcDonagh teams and then pla...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2021
Realistically if we win the Christy Ring and have a good league it will be a good year. I hope we don’t win the league as I think a few years playing against division 2 teams and Joe Mcdonagh competition will progress the team and younger lads than the mauling they will receive next year. A great st...

Re: Club Managements
There were a few durrow lads that played for tullamore as well, one set of brothers come to mind that contributed a lot to Tullamore despite their home address. Years ago durrow and ballinamere were at nothing and if you had ambitions of playing for Offaly these clubs wouldn’t help your case, now be...

Re: Defunct clubs
I remember my father told me years ago that certain clubs would be set up especially at underage, as they were recognised as a club when it came to getting All Ireland tickets that they were entitled, he said it caused uproar as one small club had a cute secretary and had multiple team names, this c...

Re: We need to talk about Leinster GAA
Money will talk and probably has, when money is being distributed around for teams development we have to make sure we get it, if that means keeping quiet so be it. I am sure the county boards know all about this. As for OCP and the birr development I am sure there was a payment from the Leinster co...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
How does scoring difference come in if Offaly lose next week and Leitrim beat Tipp. They will all be on 5 points but the walk over given by Leitrim against Down means what in terms of scoring difference?
