Re: Signed Jersey from mid 90's

I have a framed signed jersey from the 1998 League Winning team.It used to belong to a former Taoiseach (and not the one you'd assume it was either)

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014

Staggering difference in the skill levels on display so far. Vincents foot passing and team work has been excellent and only for Rhodes goalie they'd have another few goals. In contrast Rhode have had no support running at all and their foot passing has been abysmal so far.Considering Diarmuid Connol...

Re: football championship 2014

Really bad match today.Rhode were miles better than Edenderry and should have giving them a much bigger beating.Niall McNamee was about the only footballer who looked close to inter county standard and even then he kicked a bucket load of wides on top of the or 6 points he score. Great win for Daing...

I would be open to any one that knows how to achieve success at the highest level help in us out of the hole we are in, It is easy to knock, harder to build. Any idea when it will be announced that Jim McGuinness will be coming down to teach us how to play football?

Re: Offaly Senior Football Management 2015

Whoever is the manager we need to make sure it isn't Pascal Kelleghan. He is doing a good job with the minors and should be left there for 4 or 5 years to develope himself as a coach and to hopefully bring through some good players. We don't want to ruin him by asking him to make the step up to senior...

Thats a little bit unfair on him.He knows nothing about football either.

Re: Offaly v Longford

We played some good football in the first half but were far too negative in the second half and the full forward line were left completely isolated, also I don't think we won one breaking ball in the second half which is very poor and it had us on the back foot for the whole game.If we play like we ...

Greg Hughes RIP

Offaly football is mourning the death of Greg Hughes (75), a key figure in the county's emergence as a major force in the 1960s. One of the great full-backs of his era, he played a major role as Offaly won the Leinster championship for the first time in 1960, a title they retained in '61. He added a...

Re: Offaly v Longford

Its a fairly lightweight half forward line I'd be worried about our ability to win much breaking ball in the game.

Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Just to follow up on Fargo Boyle's point, I find it hard to get behind the parish team as a supporter, its just not the same as supporting Daingean as why would I be interested in cheering on players who will be rivals of our club in a couple of years time , i'd really only be interested in how Dain...

I find the commentary on TG4 preferable to RTE's and I can only understand bits of TG4's commentary.

Re: selling out to Rupert?

I've no problem with Sky Sports getting rights to show the games as long as these matches are available free to air as-well.If they aren't then the GAA hierarchy need to cop on and realise that whatever extra money would be brought in would be cancelled out by alienating a lot of fans.
