I wasn't at it, but I heard in the pub that Wicklow behaved like tramps...which is hardly shocking. Wicklow would be better dispensing with the new batch of wannabe thugs and trying to bring through some footballers instead. Apparently the goalie was sent off for firstly kicking Ken Casey when he sc...

http://www.evan.org/posters/esb5.jpg Better to win a poor game than lose a classic. I think Offaly football would have taken a mortal blow had we lost again to Westmeath. I was fairly concerned when they got it back to 3 points. To be honest, Shane Sullivan getting sent off might have turned the ga...

I'll be on the Hill.
Hopefully Offaly people will come out in numbers and get behind the team, though I have my doubts.
I'd say Louth will be bringing the most support on Sunday.

What's the feeling around the county for this game? It seems fairly low key. Despite all the setbacks we've had in the last 5 years, I think we'll win. Living about 2 miles from the border, I'd have no time for Westmeath. For years they seemed more interested in seeing Offaly get beaten than getting...

Leinster minor hurling semi final draw

Semi-Final Draw:

Offaly V Carlow
Kilkenny V Dublin

That could be a very tricky match against Carlow.
We were lucky enough to beat them by a point earlier in the championship.
Since then they have beaten Wexford.

They're all claiming he's injured on the Wastemeath section of hoganstand.
If you believed everything you read on hoganstand, then Shannonbridge would be county champions elect.

Regarding Rynagh's they should be a lot better - last year they were being carried by Flannery and Horan, two minors at the time, while a lot of their senior guys were playing very poorly. It all came to a head in the quarter final against Kinnitty, when the two young lads were their only scorers. ...

I just think that only teams who really have a realistic, however unlikely, chance of winning the county senior championship should be in it. Teams starting the year believing that they can't win and avoiding relegation is an achievement is not good for them. In that case only 3 or 4 clubs should b...

Surely intermediate is the "Buffer" as it were?? If we only have 8 senior teams, then that's all we have. A more competitive intermediate championship that is not dominated by second string teams would surely be a positive step. While you can't create hurlers where none exist, the fact th...

I don't thinks clubs like Clara demanding to be regraded would solve anything. Do they get replaced by an even weaker Intermediate team, or do we hope that 4 or 5 other clubs also drop down to Intermediate with them? Optimistically there are about 8 clubs in Offaly who are anything near what we imag...
