Re: Why do we not have a senior hurling manager appointed?

Manager and backroom team to be announced tomorrow I don't think this is the case. I won't be at the county board meeting tonight so I rang to check and see if there was likely to be any breaking news, and was told that no, the process is ongoing and some potential candidates are being spoken to, b...

Fair enough I thought there might be a few.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

Some of your points are totally ridiculous and inaccurate, Ok, lets take your last post; , some of the CB officials have ruined Offaly hurling making bad decision after bad decision! Aside from the fact that almost every club and county board officer in the country has been accused of this in the p...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

1) You didn't answer question no. 1. Is there any county in Ireland that don't play their Senior county finals in their county grounds? Maybe there are, but I don't know of them. There is a reason facilities like OCP cost the money to develop that they do. Players who reach a county final deserve to...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

The feeling is mutual...great discussion! Ok, here goes. 1) Should the senior hurlers of the county not get to play at the best facility in the county on senior county final day? If not, why not? 2) Who EXACTLY do you think fixes games in Offaly? 3) On what basis do you presume to speak for the &qu...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

Says your man who says I have no idea how the GAA works or any organisations! You don't know me from Adam! It was a very legitimate point...yes the best faicility in the county is in OCP - but should all finals be played there...no!! Specially when the hurling strong holds of the county is the far ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

Of course they don't make sense to you...your not from Offaly! Jog on.. You see, now you are showing your intelligence. I'm not from Offaly, so I will obviously have no bias towards either OCP or SPB. Therefore a logical argument would surely make me see your point. Instead, you come across like a ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

Lone shark if the CB get upset of what supporters about me they must be a very weak board!! OCP is a much better facility that SBP we are not that stupid to think otherwise....but we do think there should be more matches in Birr including the semi final and finals!! I'm not from Offaly, but on one ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

Seems to have a good record where ever he goes alright, Birr will be in a semi final, the thing is can they put a big performance together at that stage. They have the hurlers they just need to go out and do it on the big day. The main reason why there isn't a Birr man on the top of scorers sheet,I...

Top scorers after four rounds of the Senior championship (42) Colm Coughlan 1-39 (37) Ciarán Slevin 3-28 (35) Stephen Quirke 3-26 (34) Paddy Murphy 0-34 (34) Oisín Kelly 4-22 (32) Dónal Morkan 1-29 Am I right (as a Laois Man) in saying that there is no Birr player in that list? Despite them topping...

Re: Tom Donohue feature in the Tribune

This is quite a story, much of it a hitherto untold story, so I said I would bring it to yere attention. Worth pointing out they spelt his surname correctly too (it's Donohue) seeing as i'd be the first to point out if it was incorrect. http://www.tullamoretribune.ie/articles/sports/38192/the-extra...

Re: Dubs in Kilkenny for Football?

I don't see what the fuss is about. I quite like Nowlan Park myself. With the ring road around the city it's easily accessed from all sides. Laois making quite a song and dance about it, which was fine for a while, but Janey they're persistent and repetitive and boring now. Making a song and dance ...

Re: What are they smoking in Birr?

It's true in the south of the county is where you will get the majority of good natural hurlers like in the north you will get the footballers..it's no mistake that certain clubs and county's always have and always will be at the top..because it's there heritage..it's like in Kilkenny why are the f...
