Re: Walsh Cup 2013

St Rynaghs were in the Senior Final last year. Have they anyone on the county senior panel this year ?. Their goalkeeper Clancy looks to to be a great prospect. Has he been invited onto the county senior panel ?.

Re: Hurling Championship

The County Board will suffer greatly by playing the second most important hurling county final on a date and at a venue which is most unsuitable for fans. The local press were given very little time to help promote this final. It has all the hallmarks of "get it out of the way". The date a...

Re: Hurling Championship

No rush to be played? Ever heard of Shamrocks, Tullamore and Drumcullen? Probably not, but maybe think of someone else for a change. The mind games have begun. The Final is on Sunday in OCP. Deal with it. And don't be all day coming out for the second half. Some of the Rynagh's players might want t...

Re: Hurling Championship

Fair play Kinnityman for callin the Rynaghs v Belmont match right. Credit to Belmont, but as someone else said Rynaghs have really made a bags of it.We have a very strong panel with skillful hurlers who should be coming of age,but we lack leaders. . Are you sure it is not a team manager and selecto...

Re: Hurling Championship

sorry kinnityman i have to agree with plain dude, with his predictions, cant see rynaghs losin to belmont, and birr still havent any of their missing men back for the shinrone game so that be very close. i do think damien murray(an excellent club hurler) could be a massive loss yet for coolderry, an...

Best of luck to Eoin Kelly. Any sub keeper is worth a start from time to time. In hurling you usually see a sub keeper who finally gets a start taking his opportunity with both hands and I hope Saturday will be no different for Eoin.

Remember Laz Molloy Good subs in football too!

Re: Hurling Championship

Rynaghs were poor no doubt, Shinrone much hungrier, but we will come back stronger. Re the panel there are injuries and players gone abroad so they were short.Long term as in a few years though we still have the best hurlers coming through, we have won done minor back to back, and prob do u21 2 in a...

After the senior club games at the weekend, the Offaly midfield partnership must be Del Morkan and Rory Hanniffy. Both were outstanding.

Re: Hurling Championship

Is Dinny Cahill still the manager of St Rynaghs. It was a surprise to most people at St Brendan's Park when Diarmuid Horan was substituted before half time. It was obvious to all that Rynaghs were being destroyed at midfield. As the game progressed, the St Rynaghs management saw the error of their w...

Re: Revolution not reform needed in underage hurling

i think ye do have good managers there in john leahy and aidan hanrahan. the are progressive men. dont expect miracles in one year. t! I do not know John Leahy or Aidan Hanrahan. You say they are good managers. I know that John Leahy worked as a coach with this year's minor team since they were age...

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford in the Leinster U21HC

No bias in that. Lee was excellent and in general, Wexford thoroughly outplayed Offaly at midfield. I'd have made him man of the match too, though I thought that neither Gary Moore nor Diarmuid O'Keeffe were far off. It was an odd game actually. I felt that in a lot of sectors, Offaly were well mat...

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford 2/6/12 Leinster Championship

Offaly were fortunate to win last night. I hope they will have learned a number of lessons from the game. Michael Verney must replace Del Morkan, both midfielders must be replaced, Cathal Parlon is not good enough and Joe Bergin must replace him on the edge of the square. I am most surprised that a...
