Re: O'Byrne Cup 2013
On another note should the ref not have given Conway a straight RED.. and are Offaly not lucky yer man who got the yellow for the elbow picked up by the linesman, didn't get a straight red for isn't that that punishment for 'striking'? Kildare very lazy in first half, Offaly bossed midfield, which ...

Re: R.I.P Kieran McEvoy
Lived in Port for years, knew Kieran and most of the Gracefield lads. Very sad news, shocking in fact.
In his late thirties still a better footballer than most. Condolences to his family and Gracefield GAA.

Re: Offaly V Westmeath Challenge
Offaly V Westmeath Challenge Having watched this match in O'Connor Park on Saturday Morning last, I am certain that if the Offaly management select the right team Offaly will still have a say in the destiny of 'Sam'. Not meaning to be disrespectful, but that's delusional. Also, "We can beat Wa...

Re: Junior A 2010 Predictions
So, we are all agreed, it's between Daingean , Tullamore or K/K.
Due to the nature of the Championship, I wouldn't put too much store on early round results. 6 Team Groups with top 4 into Q-Finals,.. no great pressure on better teams.

Re: Junior A 2010 Predictions
Let me guess,....Daingean beat Tullamore Intermediates  in the first round so are looking like favourites at the moment. (for anyone not on the planet last year, Tullamore Intermediates arsed around last year, and got relegated) Despite that loss, the Townies will still be favoured. Daingean h...

Re: 23rd May 2010 - The death of Gaelic football!
What's going to happen locally when the Football Championships start in the next few days
The handpass and sideline rules will cause some serious problems I predict.
The state of football is bad enough without this added mess.

Re: County Boards Latest Brainwave
I was told yesterday we were 4 weeks away from the Junior Championship! Maybe new instructions are on their way, as we were working toward the early start as mentioned by Gunnerman above.
Who knows what the setup is? The website is non-exictant,..it's a fcuking disgrace.

Re: OFFALY V FERMANAGH.
This has to be a positive result. The important thing is to use this to build on, the next defeat doesn't have to be the end it. You use victories like this to prove that you can do it. I get knocked down, I get up again.

Regional league?
http://www.hoganstand.com/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=122559 Dublin have been running a regional competition, probably similar to Kerry's club & regional championships (albeit different times of the year). I know this was discussed here on and off, and it's hard to see if there's any benefit to Offaly's...
