Re: NHL Cork Vs Offaly.

From listening to Radio 3 Offaly seemed to play reasonably well in 2nd half and were a little unlucky not to have got another goal or 2. Offaly played with Kevin Connolly as sweeper -John Leahy felt that it worked in some ways but didn't in others. Leahy feels we should have gone 15 v 15. I'd probab...

Re: NHL Cork Vs Offaly.

Can't believe Rory Hanniffy is named at full back. But we'll wait and see what happens. Let's hope Offaly can put in a good performance. Team should be improving. A big result for Offaly fans to watch out for today is Laois v Antrim. If Antrim can beat Laois away -then Offaly could manage to stay ou...

Re: NHL OFFaly v Laois 16 february 2014

What a shambles of a display today. There was no way we deserved to be within 2 pts of Laois at the end of this game. At the Galway walsh cup game I was pleased with the endeavour and some of the hurling was good- with general first touch not being bad. However at that Walsh Cup game I was worried a...

Re: 2014 WALSH Cup

Hope to catch the Dublin - Kilkenny Walsh Cup Final tomorrow in Croke Park before Dublin - Kerry. Interesting to look at roll of honor on Hill 16 website. Dublin have made six changes to their team that beat Wexford for Saturday’s Bord na Móna Walsh Cup final against Kilkenny in Croke Park (5.0). Al...

Re: 2014 WALSH Cup

Think Kilkenny's result against Galway today puts last week's performance into perspective. While Offaly performed well last week- Galway were poor and we still managed to lose to them.

Re: 2014 WALSH Cup

Few quick points on last Sunday. As I drove Dublin from Dublin I was wondering was I mad - driving down for what was essentially a pre-season game. It was worth it, even if I left O Connor Park extremely frustrated. First half Offaly should have been up by more. Offaly did most of the hurling. Yes G...

Yes Paudie Delaney is training Kinnitty this year. It is his first time back in management in a while. Two of Kinnitty's management from last year look like they will be involved with Crinkle in 2014.

Re: New Hurling League.

Just after reading the following - this makes a complete joke of it! Taken from RTE website. The only tweak to the previous structure will see quarter-finals introduced, with the top four teams in 1A facing the top four from 1B. Previously the three highest-placed teams in 1A and the 1B winners earn...

No change to hurling league format 16 November 2013 Cork and Limerick fans make their way to the Gaelic Grounds. ©INPHO/James Crombie.Central Council has voted to retain the structure which applied for last season's Allianz Hurling League. It means that Munster champions Limerick will remain in Div...
