Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly

all il say is "come on the faithful".its time to get positive and support the lads.croke park beckons and its time we all pull together and get offaly back on the hurling map.it would be great if we could get 15,000 to 20,000 supporters going up to cheer the lads on.its up to supporters an...

Re: Réalt Dearg looking for new players/selectors/managers.

i was at the edenderry game, good clean game of hurling and fair play to the lads for setting up in hard times its not easy.edenderry were missing 7 players themselves due to work and other games clashing and injurys.the lads from edenderry said they would be delighted to help out in any way even cha...

i was sitting in the stand when dooley came back to hit the free and i just thought theres no way he will put this over he would be better standing in on the square and sure enough bang straight over the black spot great score it takes bottle to step up and go for it.i thought keeper made some great...

Re: REFEREE,S

the standard is poor.the county board are letting football refs do hurling matches which is totally not acceptable.i agree there has to be a level or grade for refs because when it comes to big games teams that are training all year are been let down by poor ref decisions and thus end up out of the ...

Re: Tipp v Offaly nfl

but sure if we are cautious every year we would not bother supporting the lads at all.we can always have hope every year no matter what, plus we have the bonus of playing football and hurling what alot of counties dont have.if we improve every year thats a start, last year hurlers gave us 2 great eff...

Re: Monthly expenditure

yes the cost is high but i wouldnt cut back to much.i know the teams are not winning much lately but surely no one would deny the lads a decent meal or proper training and physio.theses guys are picked to play for offaly so the least the county board can do is look after them.they dont get paid for ...

Re: NHL Round 3 Offaly V Dublin 06/03/2011

i think wexford are more than capable of beating dublin and if they do then offaly are in trouble.i know wexford got a hiding from galway but wexford on any day can beat the best .i cant see offaly winning any games because their getting beaten by to much in each game that there not even running tea...

ye the gates are open now,any player that has a transfer refused in the future will now refer back to this saga and how can the county board stop any lad from transferring now.there will be alot more trouble for the county board in the future with players transferring here ,there and everywhere.

Re: NHL Round 3 Offaly V Dublin

i agree that dublins fitness is far better than offalys and other teams at this time.but why is this,is it because dublin do more pre season training than offaly or is it because offaly dont do enough?surely offaly should try and match every team with fitness and power in training, and then when it c...

Re: 1998 Offaly v Clare

i was a lad of 15 back in 1998 and i remember that day in thurles,i went mental when the final whistle went and the faithful had won.the journey home was mighty crack.clare were becoming a strong force at the latter stages of the 90s and were a hard team to beat.it would be great to see them days ba...

Re: Tone of debate declining?

i agree with the untouchable politics should not mix with gaa theres plenty of sites for 5 point plans and the muck that the politicans are spreading .if people on here cant have their say on offaly football and hurling good or bad ,then how can it be called a debate?the guys giving out here should ...
