For me, winning TM Cup and seven wins in the league would indeed be something to get excited about. Certainly positive, confidence building and more inspiring than what seems to be proposed here which is to jump up and down and complain and moan that we are in a tournament that means nothing. In my ...

We are where we are so deal with it. "Tin pot" or otherwise, the tournament is in place, we're in it, deal with it. Offaly should honour Tommy Murphy, go out an play the best team we can and win the damn tournament. Then go out and win every game in Div 4. Set realistic goals for next year...

This is still a Senior inter-county tournament. Why the hell wouldn't every single footballer in Offaly want to put on the Jersey and represent their county?. If there are players in Offaly who don't want to put on the Jersey and play to the very best of their ability for thier county when they have...

So LS your saying that the F%$# Up by the county board means that Casey got his just deserts, no harm done, move on.
Have the county board no duty to protect their players by ensuring they correctly enforce suspensions handed down at county level?
You've got to be joking!

I generally concur with LS but I think he is wrong on this. Fair enough, you think the suspension for the original offence "should" have been longer - but it wasn’t. Casey got 4 weeks that's all. From there on you can't apportion any blame on the lad for, and I'll use the words again, the ...

the bare biffo, I take you comment. fair enough. But why then did the county board not issue a quick statement on Tuesday outlining the facts , i.e. that this was a Cat 2 offence, officially communicated to them as such, and therefore Casey was eligible. End of Story, no drama. In my opinion, at bes...

Given what happened last year with the multi subs debacle we can't expect, and dont deserve any leniency from the GAA when they look at this. I've never seen such ineptitude from a county board. Muppets one and all. Heads should roll for letting it come to this, regardless of the outcome. &qu...

Sorry 'bout that lads  . A mans game it is, but I'm a softie when it comes to sports movies, Christ I even sobbed at the end of Jerry Maguire when Rod Tidwell got his "Four years for ten-point-two million dollars" contract with the Cardinals. I'm away in Montreal, Canada right now, w...

Indeed you can AZ, I've dropped a goal or two there myself !.

And for anyone who'd like to know more I suggest the movie RUDY !. I'd be surprised if there is any half passionate sports fan who can get through it without bawling !.
