Re: OFFALY MINOR FOOTBALLERS
Truth as I see it....that is a terrible statement towards Birr. The work wasn't been done but it sure is now - it will just take a few years but we are still getting one player uo to senior ranks every year which is great. No need for the sly dig Well done to team!! Would they have a good chance aga...

Re: OFFALY MINOR FOOTBALLERS
Yeah totally agree with that, great heart shown by the players and i can see them beating Westmeath and Kildare to set up a rematch with Dublin in the quarter finals but lets not count chickens yet, but still great to see the effort put by the players that have shown up for the team this year, inte...

Re: Division 4 league final Offaly v Longford
While the manner of the football was very good the encouraging thing for me was the mindset and the attitude of the players overall especially after Longford had a bit of a resurgent spell straight after our second goal. In times gone by the team would have fallen to bits when that kind of pressure ...

http://www.midlandsradio.fm/news/could-toma-s-oconnor-switch-to-offaly Wonder is there any truth in this rumour, he would be good target man at 14, probably just paper talk though. If it is true and i doubt that it is, it sounds like a career move to be honest, very much along the lines of that Sea...

Messages of Support for Division 4 Final
Since the last thread got a good response and because its a chance for the Footballers to win a piece of Silverware at Croke park (and lets be honest it doesn't happen that often these days) i thought i'd set up another messages of support thread for the Footballers for the division 4 final this wee...

Re: Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence
Y'know i think in the past there was no shortage of people on this site that would have been queuing up to give flack to the board and to be fair it was warranted in quite a lot of cases but i think this time the board and all involved with delivering a Centre of Excellence deserve some credit for t...

Re: Still no Minor Football Management selected yet??
Excellent performance despite the loss, they brought it back to level pegging with 6 minutes to go after being four points down, great to see heart and fight from the players when things got tough, if they take the right attitude into the qualifiers i can honestly see this team still making the Lein...

Re: Still no Minor Football Management selected yet??
Minor football team playing Dublin on Saturday in first round...... Not a whole lot expected but if they give a good account of themselves after that demolishing last year, its as much as we can really hope for..... they have'nt exactly set the world alight with recent losses to Tipperary and Laois...

Re: Division 4 Offaly v Antrim
Congrats to the Footballers on gaining promotion today, great effort shown by the lads throughout the game especially when Antrim brought it back to 1 point at one point the game, i feared we would revert to type and fall to pieces again but they have shown some much needed steel and resolve in the ...

Re: offaly minor hurlers 2015
Woudnt be too down about the result, its only a league but the championship next week V Carlow matters hugely. Wexford have their underage well in order again and we need to do that with our hurling teams. This minor team have definitely improved over the year to date under the managements guidance...

Re: messages of support for the Footballers
Last weekend against Longford you showed what Offaly Football is all about And showing that heart and fight in the jersey is all the fans ever wanted to see And i promise you win, lose or draw if you continue to show that kind of pride in the jersey the fans will get behind you 100% Cause it makes u...

messages of support for the Footballers
I was thinking about what Pat Flanagan said the other day about getting more support behind the players, not everyone is in a position to make the games but still tunes in to radio 3 to listen to the matches so with that being said if Lone Shark as the site mod has no objections i've decided to set ...
