Re: National Hurling League 2017
A farce of a league where a team like offaly make Q/F and teams like clare and dublin hurl a relegation match. Absolutely out of their depth vs Tipperary.

Re: U21 football
The reality is. Offaly might have got together in late 2016 to get ready for the 2017 season. Dublin collectively probably a month or two earlier. The real difference is that Dublin players whether on a squad or not are getting excellent coaching in the clubs and are doing S/C programmes on a par wi...

Re: Hurling development squads [Split from Walsh Cup]
What is the actually situation? What happened with the mentors towards the end of last year when the development squads sessions came to an end? I find it hard to believe that the CB would let a successful mgt team off by removing them and then have to go and find replacement for them. Does anyone h...

Re: Football league 3 2017
He has valid points. The one thing you can no longer afford to have if you wish to be a competitive county is a male functioning underage set up. Offaly are reaping what they have sown the last 20 years. Which was nothing.

Offaly look like heading to 2nd defeat. Down to 13. Probably get relegated.

Re: National Hurling League 2017
100% proposal. Really would make a difference. Where it falls down is club and county board unable or willing to admit that work needs to be done and the total lack of people on the ground who could come together and work a plan like this.

Re: National Hurling League 2017
I dont think club hurling in Offaly is too bad when compared to other counties. And the introduction of Senior B will remove the meaningless games..i.e kkvs shamrocks, lusmagh, coldiagh gaels etc... and thus make it more competitive Think I was at a different game than you. Coolderry where not dest...

Re: National Hurling League 2017
When the foundation of a house is all wrong you don't worry about the roof. Get the club and under age in order and then worry about Senior. Without underage success you will not have senior success. A big name manager can only do so much. The talent has to be there to work with. Look at the last tw...

Re: National Hurling League 2017
A bottom up approach needs to be taken. Offaly has a backward approach to everything regarding gaa development. I speak to a lot of lads in regards to coaching, reffing and administration. They talk about cycles and how all things come to an end and offalys time will come. Right now offaly will not ...

Re: Football plan, Whats the story?
That's very disappointing to hear. I thought with a director of hurling appointed that offaly might move in the right direction. But from what I can gather there are simply not enough quality people within the county to put a plan together and get hurling and football on the right road to success.
