Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Definitely. Good locker room door material. Meath have been drifting for many years. If they think they just have to show up they must be confused. They started off well in the league then fell flat. They did not give the impression they were going anywhere. They met a motivated team that took them ...

Let’s see if we can get past Louth.
Congrats to the team in getting over Meath.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
The standing in which the GAA hold the Joe McDonagh cup has been laid bare this week. To fix a game in a ground with a capped capacity of 900 is absolutely disgraceful in my opinion. Kildare should be ashamed of themselves. First their nonsense with Newbridge or Nowhere and now this. It’s actually ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Fear nothing but fear If we play an attacking game we have a. Massive chance But if not ? If we stick our toe in it we probably get hit with a bout of nerves. We may not be ‘great’, but the team has shown some resolve and pulled out some tight games. There are positives to continue to build on. For...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
An Offaly Double! Winning is a good feeling. Long may it last! As an aside, Gaelic Park was amazing last night. So many tight games over the years starting w Sligo back in 1999 (I believe). Was such a great feeling to finally get over the line. You’d have thought they won an All Ireland from the play...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2023
There is a huge gap between Div. 1, and Div2. A few smaller counties who made some progress in recent years, found the step up in standard a big challenge.
The league structure is there to serve the elite and the elite only. If the top 6 was ‘Division 1’, next 6 ‘Division 2’ and so ...

Re: NFL Div 3 predictions 2023
He’s not injured, just opted out of the panel this year. He played today for TUS Midlands in the Trench Cup final and was man of the match. Peach of a pass here… https://twitter.com/higheredgaa/status/1625943414020706316?s=46&t=UeX7E4iyoKoQwqduPPgWDw Shane O’Toole Greene and Cormac Delaney were...

Re: NFL Div 3 predictions 2023
Thx for that!
There is also an app for download called Mixlr that did (hopefully does) the same still. A poster called Phoenix got me on that years ago.

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
Well played here. We asked for a new fixture date and did not just ‘pull out’. Slight, but important difference.

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2023
If he has a panel of 60 and wants to have a look at some of those then great. (Not the case I’m sure). We have to do what’s best for us. If the manager is concerned about a 3rd game in 8 days against comparatively rested competition I’m good with that.
