St Rynaghs suggestion has the Senior A championship having 8 teams in one group with 6 teams qualifying for Q-Finals.
So LS could you please explain to me how that will lead to more competitive games?? Farcical stuff.

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
And Eamon Kelly has just been appointed Laois manager. Talk about a big FU to the Offaly County Board. What was his official line for leaving again? Couldnt give the commitment?? Laois must only be part-time so!!!

Re: Offaly hurling manager??
Kevin Ryan from Waterford has been recommended by the committee put in place to find a new manager. One of his coaches is to be Paul Flynn. As far as I know he has managed Carlow and Antrim in previous years and managed Tyrone hurlers in 2016. Quite the CV!

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
The supporters tried to confront the referee after the game? CG wont be much of an addition to the senior hurling championship if thats the carry on of their fans.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
10 points was about a fair refection in the gulf in class between the sides. Oulart's two goals were evidence of that.

Re: Chairperson
The guys that brought the overage hurlers to the blitzes were the issue in that situation not the chairman. Agreed he hasnt done much to promote hurling in the town. Not a good sign when a town of 7,000 people cant field one adult hurling team.

Re: Hurling Team of Year 2016 & County Panel Prospects
You're talking about players being picked for 2017 on 2016 form because of the senior club championship structure yet you want Brian Leonard and Dan Currams on the panel?? Which means you want to pick players on 2014 form? Did you actually see Kilcormac/Killoughey hurl this year?

Thats what I would expect. Should draw a decent crowd. We owe them one bigtime after last year.

Re: Leinster SFC and SHC Draws 2017
Offaly v Westmeath in Tullamore in the football will be tasty after the events in Mullingar this year. The Offaly players should be psyched off their heads for this!! And a semi vs the Dubs awaits!!

Re: Leinster SFC and SHC Draws 2017
Found Robin team in quarter final and a win there would see us play Dublin or Galway in semi final. Tough draw to get to
Leinster Final. The Quarter-Final will be away too, providing its not Kerry.

Re: Leinster SFC and SHC Draws 2017
Getting Dublin, Galway or Wexford in the hurling draw (as opposed to a round robin team) would guarantee avoiding the round robin in 2018. I'd be happy with that. The round robin fecks up club fixtures Fair point regarding the 2018 round robin. Regarding the club championship in 2017 I saw an email...

Leinster SFC and SHC Draws 2017
Who would we like in the draw folks? Considering we cant get any of the Leinster Semi-Finalists from 2016 in the football draw Id like a crack at Laois. Anyone but Longford would be nice anyways. As for the hurling, a q-final vs the round robin runner up would be nice and a semi-final vs Wexford wou...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
LS, Why would a figure of 5k+ be needed at next year's semi-finals in SBP to justify their return to Birr? This years semi-finals drew just over 3,500 people to OCP so surely a figure of 4,000 or above is enough to bring the semi-finals back to Birr. And remember you have 3 of the biggest supporter ...
