Re: Offaly Hurlers 2022

We were organized and ready to hit the ground running out of COVID. We did so against modest competition and got the job done. It seems some of the others have been busy getting their houses in order. Yes it won’t be easy. Nobody will be giving us anything.

UP OFFALY!!!

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022

Unfortunately we are a County that got too excited after a bit of success with the U20 win last year. Players at all adult levels not only got confidence from that win but also got cocky and arrogant. 15 David Clifford's started for Offaly yesterday and woke up today with some hangover. Not on the ...

I hope you are right. In fairness, keeping it close for 55 mins against this bunch is encouraging.

Keep it up lads!

Re: Huring back in Birr

Despite the scorelines, performance and scores bode well for championship . Offaly will be far better off than that of their rivals by the end of the league. As long as morale stays high. The mgt expected these defeats so can deal with them appropriately. Have always been of the opinion that a leag...

Re: O'Connor Park lease debacle

Kevin, this years Convention Report which is just out stated the following: "In relation to OCP Lease, this issue continues to be addressed. Offaly GAA wrote to Tullamore GAA, with proposals to settle the OCP rent dispute for 2020 and 2021. We are awaiting a response from Tullamore GAA in this...

Lots of info out there regarding the issue at hand. I found this article helpful in explaining some of what has been happening here: https://www.carlowlive.ie/news/sport/666154/sunday-game-pundit-embroiled-in-escalating-dispute-over-major-midlands-gaa-venue.html Sunday Game pundit embroiled in escal...

Re: Tomás Ó Sé appointed as selector with Offaly senior footballers

His experience will benefit the players no doubt. Maybe a downside would be will he still be a pundit on the Sunday Game will he be fully committed to the roll and the commute from Cork three nights a week will that happen. It is believed that the Gaeltacht native will give up his media obligations...

Re: Tomás Ó Sé appointed as selector with Offaly senior footballers

It’s a long haul forward. Retaining Division 2 Status will take some serious effort. It’s really interesting how a little success can bring interest from places that would have been unheard of not long ago. Long may the momentum continue to build! Welcome aboard Tomas and best wishes in your new role!

Re: Offaly GAA Progress

i think before we start thinking about div 1 and surviving there, we have to challenge the teams on the second rung. like antrim westmeath and laois . we seem to have a huge ability in the forwards to put up big scores. but we concede a good bit too. that maybe is where the problems will surface?. ...
