Re: Football League Division 3 2014

True enough DAF, if the interest not there what's the point. Well in that case let us forever remember the glory days of 70s - 98 as we will never see them again. Offaly GAA RIP

Re: Football League Division 3 2014

Lads, it's time we packed in the football, we're an embarrassment at the moment. Waste of time and more importantly money been spent on this set up. We can't be successful at both codes not in this day and age. All efforts should be to make us strong at one code (hurling) and get us to level where ...

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014

thats History now POTH, we are on way up now, better squad and people over the team now. Explain to us how you can suggest we have a better squad and management than last year?? It's the 25th Jan!! Just because these guys were legends in their playing days doesn't make them legends running t...

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014

I know it's off the point of this thread a bit, but I just wanted to add it in here. I was reading Seán Óg Ó hAilpín autobiography over the Christmas period and it was with a great sense of pride that I read him speak about playing Offaly for the first time in the '99 All-Ireland semi, he spoke of &...

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014

Happy New Years. I think this year will be a great year for Offaly Hurling. The best Hurlers in the county are being invited on the panel for the first time in years. Get your jersey and flags ready. 2014 is going to be offaly year. Oh yeah? And who might these players be that haven't already been ...

Re: RTE commentary

You're dead right, Carney is absolutly painful to listen to. In fairness Mayo have waited a long time to win the All-Ireland and no one could begrudge this All-Ireland, but between listening to him, James Horan, this 'Mayo For Sam' champaign on twitter and I others I find myself not really caring wh...

Re: Championship Odds

How are K/K in the semi of the IFC, is football that bad in the county that a team that doesn't even bother train, turns up for the games and could be senior next year??

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Championship 2013

Right, county board give Ken Hogan the job now and no waiting around. He's the ideal candidate and will be able to draw up his own panel and not like Baker inheriting Joe Dooleys panel which consisted of half the Clareen team!

Re: SFC Qualifier Draw - Offaly vs Tyrone

That was the most embarrassing experience ever to be at. I wanted to leave after 15min but foolishly stayed til near the end. We are light years behind ever challenging again. Think it's time to just give up on the football altogether and do what Kilkenny do, play in the junior championship and just...

Re: Open night for supporters this Friday (May 10th)

Ah lads in fairness, I think POTH was taking the p*ss after one poster suggested 90% of the players weren't informed eventhough it was well advertised on twitter and Facebook and other social networks. I reckon at least 90% if not all of them are on some sort of social network so there's no excuse r...

Re: Hurling Championship

Congrats to Lusmagh, a quick and well deserved return to the senior ranks. They probably struggle with numbers more than others and to be able to get everyone on board to win an intermediate championship after holding their own in senior for many years is testament to all involved. Great hurling clu...
