Excellent work Coaching and games department
Maybe its because of the new website and the fact that i didn't have access to the goings on in coaching and games within the county but i have to say i'm very impressed with the amount of work that the coaching and games department have gotten through over the past few weeks What with regional coac...

Connacht set the example
First and foremost I'm an Offaly man and always will be regardless of our standing in the GAA world but living in Connacht these past number of years i have come to admire and respect what Connacht have managed to achieve in the world of professional rugby Remember this was a team that was nearly ki...

Re: Offaly County Board Thread
We some how have lads praising the CB....lone shark as usual sticking up for his fellow club man. If Boland and his buddies don't leave soon noting will ever change for Offaly. The usual nonsense. Changing the Co. Board executive is not the answer. Offaly's problems are well aired, lack of attentio...

Just wanted to give a big shout out and well done to everyone involved in setting up the new County Set up, has all of the information there that you need to know about whats going on within the county both at club and county (was particularly impressed with the county underage section which gives y...

Re: Leinster MFC 2016
After the heavy loss to Dublin Yesterday i have to ask the question, is our performances at this level down to fitness issues or psychological reasons It can't be fitness as they have been getting the right kind of strength and conditional training for the past 3 years now so the only thing i can pu...

Re: Summer Soccer
Ok so no one has opinion on how summer soccer at underage level could effect the GAA in the county, nice to know peoples thoughts on what could be a serious issue for the county down the road, grand i'll just finish up this thread then shall i?

Summer Soccer
I was having a chat with a guy today who is heavily involved with League of Ireland at under age level and he was telling me about all of the plans that the FAI will be implementing over the next few years. As i understand it the balance of power at schoolboy level will be shifted from the tradition...

Re: What are they smoking in Birr?
Truth as I see it I have always said the main reason Birr suffered was the work wasn't been done. But the coaches back when things were good had everything going for them, they had a primary school who had a huge flow of hurlers into the the Birr system, that flow isn't there anymore nore is the pa...

Re: What are they smoking in Birr?
Maybe one of the reasons work isn't been done in clubs down here the interest has gone. Why? Maybe because the south Offaly clubs have lost touch wit hurling since the move to OCP. The buzz is gone, and were getting hammered and you lot are happy to keep supporting hurling in OCP. Are you Serious!!...

Re: What are they smoking in Birr?
Yes kaiserchief..because the change of Offaly hurling to OCP has been so fruitful...  Well it seems that Offaly didn't need to play in St Brendan's park on Sunday to beat Laois, wonder why?  Besides Birr haven't exactly been rooting up trees over the past few years at St SBP...

Re: U21 football management 2016
Obviously a healthy dose of realism is needed when looking at this win, its a pre season tournament and i would imagine that Cavan were more than likely down a few players due to college commitments and what not but at the same time it is encouraging to see in both this game and the Westmeath game h...

Re: Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence
Thought there would be more talk about this. This is a huge development for Offaly. It will be on a par with Dr Morris In Thurlas. I think its the start of something special that will hopefully occur in Offaly G.A.A. All county teams should be able to train there, juvenile county blitzes and county...

Re: Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence
With the recent announcement of the Centre Of Excellence moving ahead and with the fundraising targets nearly met i find it interesting that this good news story is not getting nearly the same postings as some of our other threads that focus on the negative aspects of Offaly GAA
