Re: Niall McNamee and his gambling addiction
The very best of luck to him. He's a sound lad, and he put himself in an awful position. I'm sure his family, his friends and the GAA family will rally around him and try to help where they can.

Re: Life, Death & Hurling, The Michael Duignan Story
Best of luck to Michael with the book. He should have a great story to tell, with obvious hearbreak as well. I agree with POTH about 'The Club'. Maybe it was because I was expecting a lot better but it seemed to be 'Shite result, team meeting, poor training, young lads don't care, next match, shite ...

Re: new football manager
It's an absolute joke, and you can hear the frustration in Niall McNamee's voice. I'm sure Niall would love one of Tom Coffey or Stephen Darby in there, and that might be contributing to his angst, but his point is valid. It's pathetic.

Re: Offaly playing Laois in the Dublin SFC next Weekend.
From that list it looks like just Nigel Dunne from Offaly. John Coughlan was Syls before he was ever Offaly, so he can't be accused of anything.

Re: new football manager
The draw is tonight and we have no manager. Our championship is at the final stage and we have no manager. Obviously the new man is known and has been watching all the games, or we are just cruising down the same shite path we have for the last few appointments. Appoint a man who has no idea of the ...

Laois have appointed Paudi Butler as director of hurling type, and Teddy Mc as senior manager. That's a serious statement by them Good for them.

Re: Junior A Football
K/K 0-13 Ferbane 0-6 Looks like K/K might have notions of winning this yet. Bit of a late run by K/K. They could pull off the JFC. I was at this in the end. It actually was in Geashill after all. Apparently a large crowd ended up in Ballinamere before being diverted on to Geashill. Not good enough....

Micko says in his book that he would love to manage Offaly.
We can't afford him though.

Re: new football manager
Tom Cribben gave an interview on one of the radio stations a few weeks back when he answered a question about the drink culture in the squad and I'm very surprised nobody else has picked up on this, he's answer to the drink question was ''Ah the lads know they are not to take a drink 2 weeks before...

Re: Minor Championship
I know it is already underway but Im just wondering the format. I have seen the 2 groups on the Offaly GAA with one group seemingly a lot tougher than the other. Does anybody know how many come out from both groups?? Surely Ferbane will be crowned champions after dominating throughout the various a...
