Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
Tend to agree myself - think Ryanaghs will just be too strong and should have enough quality to not be dragged into a battle, but Coolderry have proved they aren’t ready to disappear just yet. Will be interesting to see how they use Brian Carroll, if he starts on the bench and they are within touchi...

Re: Offaly Intermediate Club Hurling Championship 2023
Who will lift the first championship in Offaly this weekend? Looks set to be a right good game and could come down to the wire. I’ll go with Carrig by 3.

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2023
To play devils advocate here, as far as I know Ballinamere were missing 3 starting players that day, all of whom have been in and around county panels at various stages so I’m told. One being John Murphy who is currently on the Offaly panel and another is the brother of Aaron Maher (apologies to him...

Re: Junior A Hurling Championship 2023
Shamrocks with 2 different management teams at junior level so I hear, so maybe had an impact on this.
Seems like there is a bit of division in the club at the minute, could be looking at relegation in senior B and junior A now which would be shocking.

Enjoyed that one. Worth the long drive! David Nally one of the best on the cuts I’ve seen anyway. Where would lads rate him??

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
David O’Toole would have played county hurling. Shane would be 50-50 between both codes, a very capable club player

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Have to agree with behindthegoal there, what use would bringing in an aging Nigel Dunne or William Mulhall do at this stage, or any lads in their 30s for that matter? We are in a building phase, bring in the youth and keep the experience that’s already in there and reward their commitment to the cau...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Offaly footballers back at it on Saturday so I hear, so surely most of the back room team in place now.
Wonder if we’ll see any new faces in? I’d like to see a bit of height in there personally, might add a different dimension to our attack.

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
A fella put it to me today that KK might consider a change of management going into next year after a bit of a stop-start campaign and a very much disappointing showing on Sunday. Now I don’t like talking about another man’s job, but that seems unlikely and a bit rash if anything? Let the dust settl...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
Hard to not agree there, Cian Farrell or not Dunga, there is a level of naivety around where Edenderry are at the minute and their ability to win the big games

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
In fairness I was talking to a Durrow man recently who said they were unlucky with injuries in the build up to Clara game, and I think Adam Geoghegan opted out before being brought back in late. Might have well been in a quarter final. Fine margins in senior football though and not much room for exc...

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Huge weekend for Clareen, could potentially have a Senior A and Senior B team come Sunday evening, would be a brilliant achievement for them all things considered
