its good news, but the county board need to run the competitions and blitzes. otherwise clubs go back to old habits - through lack of adults to look after more smaller teams and running blitzes. and some managers thinking 15-a-side is the only way. i hate comparing GAA to other sports, but rugby in ...

leaving players to work on their own is a recipe for disaster over the winter. Training groups of 3/4 is ideal for gym work.

you have to develop systems and situations at underage level where players are fully developed - eg Go Games. something else is needed for older children
making sure they get to play in variety of roles, coached and using all the skills of the games

look at a few papers from other counties where they often give a comprehensive run down of all coaching courses and demos going on in the county, referees courses, as well as results and news from underage county development squads
