Re: LSHC 30th May Offaly v Antrim Parnell Park 3:30pm

the National GAA and Leinster GAA seriously need to sort out their PRO workings
getting the basic news about the semi finals venue wrong, is a joke

Re: 23rd May 2010 - The death of Gaelic football!

its an attempt to make football more watchable for spectators. but that just doesn't work when you go tampering with the basic rules of the game. like FIFA have done with soccer. take as much physical contact out of it for the tv audience. has rewarded diving and feigning injury Rugby have also trie...

Re: New Official Offaly GAA Website needed

hate to say it, but the surrounding counties are outdoing Offaly on this front

Roscommon http://www.gaaroscommon.ie/

Westmeath http://westmeathgaa.ie/

Longford http://www.longfordgaa.ie/

and they are not too complex or fancy

leaving players to work on their own is a recipe for disaster over the winter. Training groups of 3/4 is ideal for gym work.

Re: Result Driven

you have to develop systems and situations at underage level where players are fully developed - eg Go Games. something else is needed for older children

making sure they get to play in variety of roles, coached and using all the skills of the games

its the only way forward

look at a few papers from other counties where they often give a comprehensive run down of all coaching courses and demos going on in the county, referees courses, as well as results and news from underage county development squads
