Re: Minor Football
Does anyone know if the minor football and hurling finals are affected by the latest in the series of lockdowns?

Re: Minor Football
Super win today. It's a long time since I saw an Offaly team play with such passion and assurance. A very balanced team that is strong in all sectors, with some outstanding individuals. Still a lot to work on, such as shot selection. They can build on this and bring home a Leinster title.

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.
Lads, do ye want to kill off any bit of enjoyment people have left? A group of young, healthy guys and their mentors travelling to and from games in empty stadia are not a threat to public health. There is far too much hysteria about a virus that today has 20 people in ICU across the entire Republic...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020
That was very hard to take. A huge shift put in by Offaly. The work rate, tackling and closing down were exemplary. Eoghan Cahill was superb from frees and open play. I'm not sure why he was taken off. If it was a case of saving him for next weekend it certainly backfired. We didn't score a free aft...

Re: RTÉ hurling team of the decade
Can hardly include shefflin. He was done in 2015. Never the same after 2010 injury, he was used as a sub for some matches also if memory serves me right . PJ if you watch back the drawn 2012 final you would surely reappraise your opinion on Shefflin; he almost singlehandedly kept Kilkenny in that g...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
with the scoring difference possibly in play, OY has zero chance of getting to a final, the name of the game for OY is to avoid relegation. from a LS perspective, I think we will lose to Kerry, we have an awful record down there and I also think Kerry will give ye a trimming. This coming from the s...

Re: Senior A Football 2018
Well done to Rhode. By a country mile, the best team in Offaly for the past several years. For Ferbane it is back to the drawing board. There is no point blaming injuries, tactics, the referee, a bad day at the office. Sunday's game showed a gulf in class between the sides. If Ferbane hope to close ...

Also David Nally is an excellent hurler and a great prospect for the future.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers Championship Thread
Lads, I don't think anyone is arguing that Joe McDonagh is not our level. The question is will it do any good for Offaly hurling or will it sink it even further. I'm in agreement with POTH that it will be damaging to hurling in Offaly. But remaining in the Leinster championship, while the current fo...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers Championship Thread
The round robin structure is s proving to be a disaster for Offaly. There is not enough time between games to recover physically or to mentally get the heads right for the next weekend. That in itself doesn't fully account for the gulf in class last night. Offaly look to be a long way behind and the...

Re: Newspaper Articles
Excellent article in my opinion. It highlights two key issues - the failure of Offaly County Board to make adequate resources available for the preparation of county teams and it's treatment of county managers. Several senior football managers, including Pat Flanagan and Paul O'Kelly, have been trea...

Re: We Are Offaly
I am with you all the way on this bracknaghboy. It is incredible that a player has to come out to refute a story spread in the media by a member of the County Board. There was no need for this individual to go running to every media outlet he could to spread rumours and half truths. What was gained ...

I agree totally, and 'Super' didn't help matters with his tweet. This should be sorted out internally, if possible, and not blabbed all over the media.

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers Championship Thread
First of all I agree with Kingscounty when he says that it may be a blessing that Offaly lost yesterday. That may sound defeatist and negative but anyone who watched Offaly's performance yesterday could only cringe at the prospect of having to face Dublin in the next round. Playing Dublin with a ful...
