Re: The Club Great 1989-2009
We all have them. The hero who dragged you up from Junior A or the inspiration who kept you from crashing out of Senior. Who is your most influential club player of the last 20 years? I'll make a stab at it and feel free to enlighten us as to the reasons behind your most personal of decisions. Eden...

Re: Offaly vs Dublin
Connor Evans has been a solid club player for 10 years but is woeful in a county jersey. He has flopped in every grade for Offaly.....the lad has no football brain. He gets away with being slack in club games but hes been shown up too many times for Offaly. Hes approaching 30 now and its time to ac...

. . Incidentally, who were St. Conleth’s? The Daingean parish underage club at a guess? Yes, St.Conleth's was a name used for the Daingean Parish team for a few years. I really don't know why they changed it to St.Vincents (and I think there have been other variants too); unless someone reckoned th...

Ronan Carolan was centre forward on Cavan's Senior Ulster breakthrough in 1997. Serious freetaker. Why was he missing?.[quote]
I think he had a broken leg. He scored something like 11 points in the semi-final win.

Re: First indication of football panel for 2009

Look at the graceless disposal of James Grennan for another example. We have not had a lad since as good as he would be even now. For arguements sake...anyone ou...
