Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
Keyser, to answer an earlier question, not all finals are in county grounds. Last weekend the Monaghan football final was not in Clones. Kerry hurling also tends to be in Tralee, close to their hurling heartland of North Kerry.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
Not alone did Tipperary contest the all Ireland semi this year, they also are the current munster club champions with commercials winning in 2015. They have won and lost minor all irelands , and contested an u21 all ireland. A small county like offaly should have a far tighter championship timetabl...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016
OCP will look like the ploughing site by the time the senior hurling final gets to be played there if this rain keeps up. Look at the amount of games that will go in there between now and October 22.

Fixture committee defying logic at this stage.
This weekend will be the sixth championship game in a row that Rynaghs have played in OCP...a bit like the Dubs in Croker!

Re: Offaly County Board Thread
I think that the Leinster Council made it clear last year that they have no objection to any county entering a "home & away" arrangement with Galway but that they will not force any county to enter such an agreement. Leinster Council want Galway to remain in Leinster for competition &...

Re: Offaly County Board Thread
Galway dont say who "turned down" their proposals re Westmeat & Offaly games/venues......... So to say OY CB turned them down is reaching....... They came into Leinster on the basis that their games would be played in Leinster and this is what Central & Leinster Councils agreed,,,...

Re: Offaly County Board Thread
It appears that the galway Co board offered to play offaly in ocp this weekend on the proviso this would start a home and away arrangement, and the Co board turned it down. If true this is scandalous. We have been saddled for years now with a stadium we can't really afford, and an opportunity comes ...

Re: Offaly v Westmeath, Mullingar, Sunday 1st May
It really is ridiculous to think that Sheedy has his hand in our till and yet he was not even present for our first round of the championship. It's not the the fault of the Tipperary men that we have fallen so low, but they have accepted the task of trying to reverse the decline.

Well done to the minors today. As we saw for the senior team travelling to Mullingar can't be taken for granted. Best of luck to all for the semi final.

Just as well they don't have the internet in Westmeath, otherwise they might find out about our plans!Killeighman wrote:I have heard that there will be changes to that Offaly team before the game starts. I'm sure you will know who they are.

Re: Leinster MHC 2016
I too would like to thank all the VOLUNTEERS who give so much to run the GAA in our county. We all may pick out things we would like to see done differently, but these men and women really do a thankless job. With regard to the right structures being in place, I do believe some progress is now being...

Re: Leinster MFC 2016
It is very difficult now realistically to be able to compete with Dublin on a consistent basis at underage level. Even if the correct preparation has gone into the team, the fact of the matter is that Dublin's team will be equally well prepared. However the pool of talent which Dublin can draw on is...
