Re: Offaly vs Westmeath NFL 10/04/2011

Great game of football with a great crowd had a real championship feel.We threw it away as we missed 4 good chances to get the equaliser at the end. Questions though Why does Niall Smith not start. He is an exceptional midfielder his fielding ability is brilliant and for my money he is one of the be...

Re: Daithi knows how to solve Offaly Hurling woes.

Okay, well let's see then. How many posters on this board would admit to the fact that they'd go to see Offaly hurl in Birr, but wouldn't go any further? I'll be interested to see how many say yes. And please note, I don't want any "well I'd follow them anywhere, but there's a load of my mates...

Re: Offaly v Wexford - NHL 27/03/2011

This will lift the doom and gloom surrounding the hurling team. Hopefully they can capitalise on it and put some form together before the game in Parnell park. Shane Dooley must have ice running through his veins, the second last free had Offalys division one status resting on it and must have been...

Re: Daithi knows how to solve Offaly Hurling woes.

So what does Daithi think now. Good result today and the team won because they played well they would have won if they played like that in Birr or any other ground in Offaly they would have won , just like they would have lost their previous matches if the performed like they did against Galway and ...

Re: Offaly v Wexford - NHL 27/03/2011

Offaly 2-15 Wexford 1-16 A proper game of hurling with loads of passion and a bit of cut in it where Offaly won thanks to two well taken frees at the end by Shane Dooley one from Offalys half back line.Offaly played with alot of fight and determination and just about deserved to win as I thought Col...

Re: Tipp v Offaly nfl

Scandalous perfoamance by Offaly too much fluting around and we missed a rake of scoreable frees is there nobody in Offaly who is a consisitent freetaker.John Reynold stupidy got involved in an off the ball incident near the end and had a very scoreable free in front of goals reversed by the ref, Mc...

Re: offaly vs galway

Today was one of the worst performances from an Offaly team in the last 11 years and that in itself is saying something. The Galway players were street ahead in absolutlet every facet of play. Gaining possession, striking, movement, the whole nine yards. And our management has serious questions to ...

Re: Offaly vs Wexford

Deplorable performance from Offaly.Alan Mulhall saved us from an embarrassing defeat. Why do Offaly insist on fluting around with the ball too much when we have a player like Niall McNamee who is brilliant at winning high balls we should kick the ball into him directy more often. Also when we were pla...

Re: Rhode vs Clara Offaly SFC Final 2010

Just to add to the debate i think the referee could be crucial in this game and I think the fact that Damian Brazil got the gig is great news. He is one of the better referees and the occasion wont get to him ,unlike Cusack who had a poor day at the office in the same fixture last year. Damian Braz...

Re: Offaly GAA Trivia

It definetly wasn't Martin Furlong as he would have been too old in 1966.
